I am favouring Yahama here because of better service too.

There is one more problem now. My dad suggests me to go for Avenger instead.
I have never ridden cruiser bikes.

Can anyone suggest me if I should be considering it ? Will it be comfortable for city riding and does it feel comfortable for a 5'3" guy ? What about the mileage ?

The avenger has a more relaxed riding position and is quite comfortable for long rides. I wish it had an engine to match though.
None of the bikes you mentioned can be comfortable for a guy who is 5'3" and the avenger even more so. I think your dad suggested avenger coz of the low ride height but you should know what it lacks in height it more than makes up for in width. Your legs will be so widely split that you'll be unable to comfortably put you feet on the ground.
Go with fz its better suited to your needs.

      +1 to the above post.
I should also add that the engine refinement, the build quality, the service centers, the value for money, the technology etc etc are all much much better in Yamaha products.
Bajaj not even comes close to Yamaha in all the above points.

As for being comfortable on Avenger, take test ride, then take a decision.
      So choose wisely.

I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

Hey buddy.I purchased the Suzuki Gixxer a month ago and my odometer is showing 1800+ kms.So far I loved the bike. The bike looks beautiful, handles well, with a top speed of 116 kms/hr and mileage of 50 kms/litre, it is one of the best bike in its segment.Since I am also 5.4 feet tall just like you, this bike feels comfortable since the seat height is just 780 mm, lower than every other bike in the segment. You can check photo gallary of my white Suzuki Gixxer Here Suzuki Gixxer Photo Gallary

I bought Apache RTR 160 duel disk ,white color & have started noticing change in behavior people around me, now chicks have started giving smile while staring at my ride ,gate keeper is more polite now & have stopped asking me to park behind the parking lot like he used to do with arrogant tone earlier , life has become so good after mr apache's arrivel .
