Brother, as Divya sir has already pointed out, first please make your mind , set your bugdet, requirements ,likes dislikes.
Then it would be easy for experts here to suggest the best.

There are ownership threads of each bike, just check them and most of your questions will be answered.

      Mind made up.
Sports bike out of the picture.
      Royal Enfield only.
      Budget <2 lakhs.

      Bullet or Thunderbird
      350 or 500

      Carb engine preferred.
      Better handling in traffic.
      Less Problems

      Please help me choose.
I love bajaj. Just not its hair oil, engine oil & lighting.

It seems like you pretty much chose the bike yourself, fast forward I hope to see you say the exact model you want. It's quiet funny to see how you started with reliability, low maintenance etc and ended up with Enfield.

NS is not available these days. NS' sale/production has been stopped to promote RS and AS. I don't think its going to be back soon, don't keep your hopes high for NS. (Have been enquiring at showrooms since 2 months now, because i wanted a NS)

Gixxer / Gixxer SF would be a good one to invest IMO, SF indeed looks classy.

Bullet 350, Bullet 500, TB 350 are carb - Pick one.
I would have picked TB for the style.
TB 500, Classic 500 are FI.

All the Enfields are good handlers in traffic when the vehicle is moving, pushing the bike doesn't work so well..

Less problems? well that's a dream. You will have to maintain Enfields pretty well for their longevity. Hence weekly checkups are recommended.

It's a lot like nuts and bolts - if the rider's nuts, the ride - bolts!

Firstly, thank you for your patience.

I want to pick Thunderbird 500. Suits me perfecly. Test drive was heavenly too.
But its FI engine worries me a little & nudges me (ever so slightly) towards Bullet 500 (Easy maintenance anywhere).
Is this worrying genuine or just anxiety?

Do keep in mind REs require high maintenance. Also, stay away from TB 350 a lot of people i know are having issues constantly. A few of them have decided to sell the bike just within a year of purchase.

All u want is absent in Enfield's.They are just cult bikes with outdated engine and horrible vibrations.only pro of Enfield is good looks n comfort n of course the thumping sound but I wouldn't pick a long term bike due to these .

New Bajaj Avenger 200 2015 Model QUERY

220 Test ride was amazing. Price is just too good.
Dont want any regrets come "festive season"
Is it worth waiting for the new model?
Are they going to significantly alter the design?
Will the changes justify the 15K increase in price?
Will 220 production stop, once 200 is launched?

Also, starting 220 in winter. Is it a hassle?

                  Please help.
(Mods, I didnt know which forum to post it in. I was most likely to get an answer in this forum. You can move it around if there's a problem)

Its completely Genuine. 60% of people who buy the 500cc Enfields have no idea about the difference between Carb and FI engines like one of my friend who bought a CL500 and repented later.
I personally believe that Enfields should never have a FI engine, not at the current stage which they are in. Reason: Local mechanics cant fix them, Service center guys simply make them worse. Plus Enfileds are supposed to be the rugged and tough ones, FI just makes them soft. (Personal opinion)
I have tried the CL 500, i didn't like it so much, vibrations started from the word Go.

Yes, If i had to pick a 500cc Enfield it would certainly be the Bullet 500 - this one is actually worth the purchase! I have found this one to perform way better than the FI engines and i have found way less vibrations in these.

First of all none of initially mentioned bikes are "sports bike". Use the correct terminology.

Secondly, the way you took a flip, I am sure you would decide the bike on your own soon.

Re: New Bajaj Avenger 200 2015 Model QUERY

                          Topic Approved and Moved.

Well, for now, I suggest you can take the existing 220 Avenger.

Although, the Avenger 200 (if true) should be good.
I just tested RS200 on the even of KTM Ajmer's 1st Anniversary. And its a huge departure from what we've had from Bajaj, KTMs included. And an amazing departure, I must say. I posted about this on my Facebook too.
However, this 200cc engine isn't known for very good low end torque... How and with what tweaks it fits in a cruiser are things, only time will tell us.

In any case, if you're truly cruiser-minded person, then I don't believe that outright power matters to you, or the present 220 is a bad deal by any means.

If I was Bajaj, I would go for a bigger cc engine in the Avenger, something like a 370 or something, with fat tyres and huge looks to match the expensive cruisers.

But again, low end needs to be there anyhow, in a cruiser atleast... The kind of nature a cruiser has, it can't brake heavy and stop in record times, and hence, an engine with good low end torque makes more sense anyday.

Re: New Bajaj Avenger 200 2015 Model QUERY

Mods, please move this thread in the TS earlier thread in what bike section. Where he has already asked for which bike to go for and as far as I remember, the TS already test rode the TB500 and was going to book it.

In regards to the cruiser specs. The current avenger is a pulsar 220f engine but detuned. I am sure bajaj will also tweak its new 200cc mill to suit the new cruiser, if they launch.

The below link is the TS actual thread, not sure why did he create a new thread for the same query:

                            Cheers,

And now we have another thread from the TS asking for a avenger 200. This much dilemma, I can't believe it.

First started with sports bike, then thumpers and now cruisers.

                              Cheers,

Are you really serious or am I looking at just another id who is here to troll.
