Moreover there's nothing wrong with drum brakes the gixxer is light weight you may not get feedback like the disk brakes but it still reliable.

Re: Hornet or Gixxer
I don't think that's advisable any modification especially brakes, suspension etc are very tricky something goes wrong then you will wreck yourself and bike.Originally posted by amithskumar View Post

Re: Hornet or Gixxer
That's explained in the previous post already. It's possible with a hell lotta changes, you end up spending a lot, which is absolute non sense.Originally posted by amithskumar View PostAlso if I buy gixxer will i be able to attach rear disk when it is released ???
But What are you worried abt? Breaking Efficiency or just that it doesn't have a disk but others have one?Ride Safe!
Cheers,

Re: Hornet or Gixxer
I am worried about breaking efficiency . when I took a test drive I felt the rear brakes were not that good . Still you seldom use Rear break :POriginally posted by sman999 View PostThat's explained in the previous post already. Re: Hornet or Gixxer
Beware of monoshock suspension from Honda. It is really hard. I have an one year old Honda trigger dual disc combi brake cost around 88000/- onroad. It gives back pain to me and I am under treatment. So please test drive the vehicle without a pillion before purchase.

Re: Hornet or Gixxer
Go with Hornet if you want something fresh and new in the market
Go with Gixxer if you want something which is proven in market.
Note : Honda has a better resale then suzuki even if you tend to sale the bike 5 years later.

Re: Hornet or Gixxer
Go for Hornet if you want good pillion comfort and good ergonomics. Switch-gear quality is not that good.
Go for Gixxer if you want refreshing looks. Pillion seat is high.
From the refinement, quality and power part, both are almost same. Suzuki has lesser number of service stations where the after sales service of Honda is infamous. It all comes down to your personal preference. Weigh the pros and cons of both the bikes as per your requirements and decide.
Also, give a thought to the other Jap 150cc - SZ-RR. Perfect city commuter with enough power for highways. Has amazing pull in the range of 30-70 kmph in the 3rd gear. Very smooth engine and comfort level.A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.
