Re: Please rescue me from this 80K confusion

150cc doing 120kmph all day without breaking a sweat, R15s can do..but it's way over your budget and it's an FI.

RTR for touring, will do..it's the rider more than the ride, but 120 all day=strained internals resulting in decreased reliability. Much better braking n good handling dynamics than the other two mentioned.

Unicorn - does everything you ask for except for that speed requirement

    Pulsar 150- same as unicorn

P220- exceeds your budget like r15. But less strained at high speeds than all others which you have listed.

    ZMA- same as p220.

All the bikes you have mentioned cannot do 120 all day. Period.

Used CBR250/CBR150/R15 is your best bet except that it is FI, it ticks all the boxes.

Also take a look at Hornet 160. I guess it's better than p150 n unicorn and as per various reviews, it is almost a complete package in 150 segment.

No bike in the 150cc segment can satisfy all your requirements. You may have to compromise either with your budget or your expectations.

Typical old racer - you wobble when you walk, not when you ride

Re: Please rescue me from this 80K confusion

          Here's my 2 paisas -

          1) At your height, anything over say 110 is going to be hugely difficult unless the bike has a big windshield (or you are crouching, which gets difficult while touring all day). All bikes you are considering are naked. Even if the bike can do 120 all day, you will find that windblast combined with traffic and road conditions will push you down to the consistent 90 - 100 range with an average speed of say 80 km/hr. I am experiencing that already.

          2) Now 90 - 100 is indeed in the range of some of the new 150cc bikes. I am 100% sure that the Gixxer and the Hornet can do it all day. But the Gixxer does not have a metal tank.

          3) Do not consider a P180 or a RTR180. Power alone is not what will keep you doing constant speeds and these bikes are relatively unrefined, the combination of which will result in lower speeds than you intend to do. (btw RTR is suited for shorter riders, you will get back/leg/arm pain within the first 10 minutes)

1 + 2 + 3 = get a preowned ZMA or CBR or R15v1 (from Delhi if Punjab traffic police are chill about out of state vehicles). If not preowned, then you will have to compromise on speeds and buy a Unicorn/Hornet 160

Or you can save up and get a bigger bike. I don't see any other way out.
Also your PM box was full

How come no-one has suggested the Bajaj Avenger yet? The 150 cc should be in that price range, if not the 220 cc one.

His height will not be suitable for it and also forget to do 120km/h all day.

                Hey Retard,

God just called, the bike of your dreams is not in stock it seems. He said try again in 1985.

                  3. Height six feet, (i'm so tall, that akal ghutno mein chali gayi xD )
                  4. Weight lets put it at a 100, (a nice big round number. As round as me. Almost)
                  5. Intended usage (eg. Office/College commute, Highway runs, Racetrack usage, Weekend recreation riding etc.) Well, basically for touring. I have a car to commute.

                  10. Brand / Bike type preference (if any) I'd prefer a *CARBURETED* bike
Mate, I suggest you wait & save more money. Auto expo around the corner. (Chances: Hero may launch 2016 Karizma or its Replacement)

None of the bikes under 1 lakh price can cruise @100km/h speeds comfortably. I too am 6 feet tall. For tall people, there are very few bikes which provide basic comfort. I myself have drove all bikes you listed.

Eliminate RTR180: It will make your bones cry (very uncomfortable for tall drivers) but otherwise very good bike, cannot cruise smoothly over 90km/h

Pulsar 180: Decently comfortable, but it can cruise @90km/h speeds only. any more speed will be stress on engine.

Unicorn 160: Very comfortable, refined & reliable engine, but can smoothly cruise only @80km/h

Simply put, you will never be satisfied if you buy any bike in 80K budget Save 25K more.

Your best choice would be: AS200. This can cruise 100 Km/h comfortably, it has liquid cooling & 6 speed gear box. Very comfortable for tall drivers. Far better than Zma.

Metal fuel tank? Atleast 15 litres?

Also there have been speculations that AS200 has bad suspension

Suzuki gixxer is a great bike is you can deal with the 12 litre fuel tank. My friends have done long rides on it and it is really reliable, it can do 100+kmph all day long and is comfortable.
