Epilogue
Why the AS200, and not the selected options
1: Got 15K from an unexpected source, so that took the budget up to 95, which essentially made it a two horse race, the 220 and the AS200.
2: The Zma-R was excluded, because A) the availability was iffy, with rumours that it may have been discontinued B) The new zma has been messed up, with Hero tempted to lower the clip ons, making it hideously uncomfortable. Overdrive confirms the same http://overdrive.in/reviews/comparo-...pulsar-as-200/
3: Now returning to the issue at hand, it was either going to be the AS200 or the P220. The 220 it was going to be, but I could not convince my mom about it, and got counter-convinced. (Yeah, despite it being my own money, I steel felt obliged to take everyone on board in my purchase decision)
ME: The 220 has a 15 litre tank
Mom: And how much is the tank on the AS200?
Me: 12 Litres only.
Mom: And what FE do these machines give?
Me: Lets say about 30 kmpl.
Mom. Hmm. That makes it about 360 km on a full tank.
Me: Thats not exactly enough
Mom: It is. There is hardly any part of the country where there is no pump for 350km. Infact, there's a pump every 50 km.
Me: ....................................
Me: But the magnetic tankbag for luggage
Mom: Get a tailbag
Me: But what if somebody nicks it while I am riding, or if it falls off.
Mom: If it falls off, you'll get to know, and nobody will nick it, because
a) everybody knows that it will have nothing except your dirty clothes
b) every sane person will know that you are not carrying anything valuable in it, because sane people dont go about the country dressed up like homeless HOBOs.
Me: .....................................
So, yeah, that being that, I decided, screw it, get the AS200. Honestly, I couldnt care less about either of them. I have 0 regrets about my purchase, and I reckon I would have had 0 regrets if I had gotten the P220 either. Honestly, as long as it takes me places, and can be fixed by a roadside mechanic when I go touring(I expect the mechanics to have enough experience fixing the NS 200, which has been around for a couple of years), I couldnt care less about what is between my legs.

I have pathetic photography skills.
Bloody strong low end, makes you feel like the bike would pop a wheelie if you crack open the throttle, but the torque starts to fade once you're moving at average highway speeds, the motorcycle is built for India cause the 1~2~3 gears are short and that makes it a breeze to ride in traffic unlike the P220 where the motor would be screaming in 1st or 2nd. 4~5 gears are made for the highways i.e as long as you intend to tour at 80~100kmph. Cause if you're into riding with all you got once you hit the highways, the P220 would be the best bet for you, as the ZMA at times leaves you wanting for more. Hope that helps.
