@TS, the bikes meant for you are the Karizma and the P220.. P220 has a better headlight beam for night runs as compared to the p180. Apart from that doing 100 kmph constantly will be an ease on the P220 as compared to the P180.. less strain on the engine.. @ashwinprakas can give you better suggestions as he has a P220 and a P180.. he also had a Karizma

Re: Please rescue me from this 80K confusion
does "110+ kmph for 7-8 kms" mean you can ride at 110+ kmph speed constantly for say 100+ kms? I mean, do you know what touring is about? Do you know why they have bikes specially for touring? I understand people do go on occasional tours on small bikes but at constant 110+ kmph speed all day long?Originally posted by coolharsh91 View Post

With all due respect bro, i never said anything about touring, did I?Originally posted by rreneav1987 View Postdoes "110+ kmph for 7-8 kms" mean you can ride at 110+ kmph speed constantly for say 100+ kms? I was just making a point that it can easily do 100kph for long distances (did a ride from a city to another around 60kms at 90-100kph) and can do bursts at 110+.

why not the Pulsar 135?
Its a better bike in my opinion and can easily do 115kph constantly!
You are contradicting your self.constantly means that for a long distance it can easily run without any harm to engineOriginally posted by coolharsh91 View PostWith all due respect bro, i never said anything about touring, did I?

because, the TS did mention for touring and for long rides and he did mention should do 120 kmph all day long.. if for you all day long means 7-8 kms or 60 kms.. then I am sorry if I had dis-respected your post

OP, how much does a CBR 250R (non ABS) go for, in your area? (doesn't comply with carburetor requirement though!)Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

His budget is 80k on road, i don't think one can get even a decent 2nd hand CBR in 80k?Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostOP, how much does a CBR 250R (non ABS) go for, in your area? (doesn't comply with carburetor requirement though!)

Re: Please rescue me from this 80K confusion
Depends upon the demand brother. I personally know 2 people in the forum who got decent to good 2nd hand CBRs for under 90k including maintenance charges.Originally posted by coolharsh91 View PostHis budget is 80k on road, i don't think one can get even a decent 2nd hand CBR in 80k?
I'm not looking for a change but there was an offer for a 2013 (17k km run) CBR 250R ABS for 95k negotiable in Bihar 6 months ago.
Gujarat has even cheaper options.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

I personally think that the Apache 180 accelerates better, brakes better, handles better etc.
But does it do touring better? I dont really think so. It was designed around a racetrack, for touring.
However, with that said, I'm open to be persuaded either way.

Re: Please rescue me from this 80K confusion
I read the original post but did not read the replies. Sorry if this is a repeat. Out of the three, I'd love to say Apache 180 but then I recommend you catch hold of a friend's RTR (160 or 180) and ride it for atleast 50 kms non stop to know if you are comfortable. Also, be ready to change the stock tyres to ensure more safety. If it suits you and you like the posture, nothing beats that beast
Alternatively, would you consider Suzuki GS150R? It is a good bike for tall riders, stable, easily repairable as it is a not a fancy bike. It has 6 gears and reaches 100 with ease. I am skeptical why you would cruise at 120 on Indian highways!
IMO it is not safe to cruise at 120 on any 80k bike
Cheers!

You can Tour better. Have rode Apache 180 for 200KM, its really awesome experience. You can feel power in Torque on Higher RPM. Posture would be prob, I'm 6.1" height I feel its too short bike, you need to couch suitably for better experience.
