Re: Help Me to Finalise Bike for Daily Highway Usage of 100 KM
Sir,
The 150cc Yammys will indeed stress out in the highway runs. Your best bet would be the Pulsar 220, a good all rounder.
Not sure if you would feel comfortable riding the Avenger in city traffic Jams and stop and go traffic. Many people including myself feel difficult to maneuver it in city. But is very comfy in highways. Better take a long test ride, If it suits your riding style, it would be recommended as it is more comfortable and relaxed seating position.
Take long test rides of both the bikes back to back and choose the one that feel the most comfortable. After all 100Kms daily is a long way to commute.
Ride Safe.I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

Thanks Ankey Sir. Avenger I am talking about Street version which is just like our normal bike but with a bit more turning radius. Pulsar 220 is also good but I like Avenger Street more.Originally posted by Ankey View PostSir,

I am hesitating just because of Tubed tires and P220 has a bit of sporty riding posture. Pls correct if I am wrong.

Re: Help Me to Finalise Bike for Daily Highway Usage of 100 KM
Well if you could extend your budget by 10k you could go for R15v2. It would easily give you mileage above 40 and it comes with good looks
. Only thing could be said in negative would be the wrist pain and that could be solved by sitting the correct way and with Gloves, it is dream to ride.

I commute daily 32kms and 80% of it is high way ( outer ring road ) with sparse traffic. I find my 220 best. I can do good speeds of 80 90kmph with in 6k rpm and manage to get efficiency of 40+kmpl. It has been 3 months and 2.5k and I am loving it. Just get rid of dtsi oil and replace it with motul and engine become smooth and works like a charm.sigpicAll India Permit 1+1

Thanks Gupta Ji. But as I mentioned, I am already having back pain issue, don't know if I can adopt R15 riding style easily. Also, it was considered but due to lack of pillion comfort, not able to go ahead. R15S is there but power is dropped.Originally posted by Aadhar Gupta View PostWell if you could extend your budget by 10k you could go for R15v2. Being daily highway ride, I think atleast 200cc mil is minimum I need to go with. Any other option in 200cc that comes in my budget, will glad to hear.

Thanks Abhilash, that boosted by confidence more. So, P220 seems to have upper hand from Avenger 220 Street.Originally posted by abhilashabhi12 View PostI commute daily 32kms and 80% of it is high way ( outer ring road ) with sparse traffic. Also. When should we change engine oil from DTSI to Motul and what's the best grade to go for.

You can also keep an eye on Pulsar AS200.. with that additional 6th gear, it would be a smooth ride.. Apart from that, the bike has proven itself.. After all, it uses P200NS engine..
you might have to extend your budget, I am not sure as compared to P220..Splendor - 2k to 2006
Karizma - 2k3 to 2009
P180 - 2k6 to 2k9
Hunk - Oct 2k7 til now
ZMR - 2010 to Forever
RX135(2k) - 2013 to 2018
Ninja 250R (2010) - 2016 til now
RayZ - 2015 til now
Ninja 650 (2014) - 2017 til now

Re: Help Me to Finalise Bike for Daily Highway Usage of 100 KM
Well if you could wait a month or two extra Mahindra is launching stripped down version of Mojo (https://www.rushlane.com/mahindra-mo...-12203481.html). There would be definite decrease in price and 300CC bike in 1.2-1.3lk is not bad. IMHO Pulser 220, Fazer and even to some extent R15 are old bikes... You should go for the newer launches because they have a kind of WOW factor in them which you expect from a bike when spending this amount of money (If you are into that kind of thing
).

Thanks dear, have considered but it's unlisted due to seat height and niggles posted here on Xbhp.Originally posted by rreneav1987 View PostYou can also keep an eye on Pulsar AS200.. with that additional 6th gear, it would be a smooth ride.. Sure Gupta Ji, I have time since currently using Swift for Daily commute. By the way, Mahindra does not have a wider reach as of now.Originally posted by Aadhar Gupta View PostWell if you could wait a month or two extra Mahindra is launching stripped down version of Mojo (https://www.rushlane.com/mahindra-mo...-12203481.html). Yes sir, the tubed tires are a bit let down. If given the option, always choose the tubeless ones.Originally posted by NainHardeep View PostThanks Ankey Sir. And the sporty riding posture doesn't help with the back pain either.
But at the end it will be you who is going to ride it everyday, so choose the one that suits you the best, and feels most comfortable to you.
All the best.I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.
