Ya i agree that a 6 year old bike is too long a period..but then if you see people across the country are still buying considering the fact of its stability and reliability..!!

These days even modern bikes do come up small niggles here and there..!! And, it will take time to close all the issues so that we can call it a trouble free bike ..

That may be the case, but it has happened with quite a few..that's why i was a little skeptical over the pulsars..!!

I too have ridden an FZ..its a perfect city conditions bike..!!

Low and Mid range tourque is amazing..!

I'm not the right person to judge the torque tho !! I am used to riding the Aquila and that machine is a torque monster. 25N/m of it literally makes gear changing redundent !!
Kawasaki Ninja : Because lazy sunday afternoons should be despatched at 160 kmph!!!

I was gonna write a detailed report on the bike wen I had bought her. But its just that the general lack of interest about this bike made me give up !!
Am tied with some certification this weekend, will definitely pen my experience after that !!

hey guys now i have narrowed down to the new comming P180/p200

guys....P180...having bigger front forks, bigger tyre etc etc...so the weight has increased
now the question is having increased the weight will not the performance of the bike be hampered?????
will the bike be able 2 pull itself with ease????
i have been waiting for the upgraded versions n now that they r about to release i have planned 2 go for the P180...but confused between 180 n 200.........i wanna go for p180 as i think it will give better avg than the p200...........but the increase in weight wont it hamper the performance...

Between 180 and 200, go for the 200..believe me there's a notable difference in performance and of-course its the sexiest naked bike in India, although if you can wait for the launch of new RTR180 it would be a great bike.

Very simple actually ... firstly basic physics, with increase in weight, the performance will definitely go doen. But since rolling friction increases very marginally with the increase in weight, the effect will not be drastic !!

Also even with all the weight increase it'd be something like 147 kgs, and from what I've read till now, they are bumping the power up to 17 BHP. Now ZMA is 155kgs and 17 BHP. Its still a pretty quick ride isnt it ??

So, I guess it'd be fast enuff. Also these are only sub 20 BHP machines, u'll get used to the speed very quickly. So if you do not intend to compromise of speed, I'd say go for 200. Thrs not much mileage difference between them. Maybe 4 kpl or so at the max !!

@Confused buyer a.k.a thread poster: Other than the factual error of the Zma weighing in at 155kgs (150Kgs dry actually), there's nothing wrong with Sukant's reasoning here.

                      Cheers !

^^ also Zma makes lot more torque compared to P180 so performance would not be in the same league.

43 extra CCs and a longer srtoke engine had to be used for something. Also its generally noted, that on a dyno, the ZMA makes more power on the wheel than P180.

Source : Overdrive May 2005, if u can find it !!

But then, Pulsar 180 is a hooligan of a street machine. P180 and P200 are like 2 outlawed brothers .. so make up ur mind bout wat u want !!

i have seen the pics of the new P180...i liked it very much...i will take a test ride n decide 2 go for it or not.....as far as the fetures of the new p180 r concerned,i was quiet impressed...the clipon handles, bigger tire, split seats etc etc..impressed me a lot

finally decided 2 go for the new 180...hope it gives a milage of 40 in city driving conditions......

Without any extra thoughts, new p180 or P200 must be the bike for you.

But wait, new p200 is just a few days away.
I asked pune's probiking showroom, he says both p220 and p200 "MUST" hit by second week of MAY...!
max end of may i feel both of them would be on the road!
