DO NOT REPLY! Bike bought. >AS200, for those of you wondering<
1. Budget 80K On-Road (about 74/k ex-showroom would be nice)
2. Age 25, but I dont see how that matters

3. Height six feet, (i'm so tall, that akal ghutno mein chali gayi xD )
4. Weight lets put it at a 100, (a nice big round number. As round as me. Almost)
5. Intended usage (eg. Office/College commute, Highway runs, Racetrack usage, Weekend recreation riding etc.) Well, basically for touring. I have a car to commute.
6. Fuel Efficiency requirement (approx., if any) 15 kmpl+ is allright
7. City & Highway percentage usage 10% city & 90% highway
8. Approximate Daily / Monthly running difficult to say
9. City / Town /Village of residence (so we can evaluate road conditions / traffic / terrain / altitude / OTR pricing) Amritsar
10. Brand / Bike type preference (if any) I'd prefer a *CARBURETED* bike
What I want?
I want a reliable comfortable go anywhere, motorcycle, that can be fixed anywhere, by any roadside mechanic, which has a good comfortable seat, and a decent riding posture. Oh, and the bike should be able to do 120 kph all day, and not break into sweat. I want a bike that has atleast a 15 litre fuel tank, and a Metal fuel tank.
I WANT THE OLD KARIZMA. <weeps uncontrollably)
However, its time to accept the harsh realities, and move on. The 'ZMA is no longer in production, and my family would kill me if i ever uttered the second hand word. With the production of the lame replacement that Hero put up now ceased, I'm left wondering what to buy.
I have shortlisted the following few contenders.
Pulsar 180 (75K ex-showroom) Whether it can do 120 all day is a concern? Also, I've had people call this bike pre-historic. (The person(my classmate) who called this bike pre-historic rides an enfield. Oh, the irony)
Apache 180 (75K ex-showroom) The concerns with this one are a) ergonomics vis-avis and my height and weight; b) it wasnt really designed to be a tourer.
Unicorn 160 (73K ex-showroom) It beats the other two hands down in refinement and reliability and comfort, but then I'm skeptical about whether it can do 120 all day. It is a beefed up 150cc rather than a proper 180.
Any other suggestions welcome.
PS: For the Arithmomaniacs, yes, the old ZMA was a 90K on-road bike, and not a 80K, but that was one bike that I would not mind extending my budget for.
PPS: I have taken a great deal of time to list each and every of my requirement, so I would appreciate if you actually took out time to read it, and then recommend a bike.
