  • Selecting a perfect tourer under 1.5 L

I'm a beginner. I've just rode pulsar 135 for a few kms. I want a touring bike to make trips to ladakh and spiti valley. I have zeroed in on fz25 and Apache rtr 200. Which one to buy? Also, for which bike can I get the required accessories like panniers, saddle bags etc easily?
P.s: Gurus can suggest any bike which I have overlooked. Fz25/Apache is not a permanent choice

    Query approved!

What do you mean by you've ridden a P135 for a few kilometers? Do you do short trips often on it?
    Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

I Haven't seen a fazer in the flesh, but if you can get over its odd looks, it is a better bet than the fz25 for touring.

I have a Fazer V2 since 9months. It costed me 1L5k total with accessories. I have been satisfied completely. Done 7k on it till now. Getting 48kmpl in Hyderabad city and get 55kmpl on Highways. I have done 300km long ride as well thrice. No problem till now. 70-90kmph is the best touring speed you can get. Haven't tried the the highest speed , it's around 120kmph+ . City riding is perfect and comfortable so as on Highways.

If your into looks and a little speed , you can look into Pulsar NS200 ABS edition 2017 ..... definitely one of the best bikes in the market even before ABS was offered.

Do update us which bike you buy

fZ25, NS200 , RTR 200 are all naked sports and Xpulse is an adventure sports bike.....quite a huge difference in choice there .
Also there were rumours that Xpulse might be delayed indefinitely due to hero bankruptcy , not sure the best company to depend on right now . The company hasn't released any specs of the bike till now . Also the previous adventure sport impulse was flop so think twice .

All the models being released in 2018 -

                  Might help

Thank you very much. I'm not in for looks. I'm very much interested in practicability, vfm and touring capabilities.

It is definitely available for NS200, Apache RTR and Fz25.
                        Not sure for Xpulse

if you are interested in practicality, avoid these naked sports, you need a tourer with windshield during high speed runs in touring.
Might be a Cbr 250 r may suit you or Bajaj RS 200 , yamaha fazer 25 windshield is ineffective....

I heard that rs 200 has a very sporty riding position and gives back pain on long tours. So, I didn't consider it. CBR is discontinued right.

Preowned CBR 250R won't be a bad choice if you get the C-ABS Variant
