Re: Selecting a perfect tourer under 1.5 L
How can you say that? From what I know from Suzuki due to my ties a 250cc single mill should release by September, October with original gixxer engine build with about 27-28bhp but with a oil cooler to keep costs down like how yamaha did on the fz25.Originally posted by Pareekshith View PostBut that's too costly

Re: Selecting a perfect tourer under 1.5 L
Thanx mateOriginally posted by Deathwing View PostThe chassis and engine will be similar to the current gixxer obviously barring a few changes, should expect more concrete news by the year end.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for dual channel ABS instead of the single channel ABS on the current bike.

Re: Selecting a perfect tourer under 1.5 L
Should be dual bybre, I think this bike is tailor made for the Indian market, absence of liquid cooling maybe a deal breaker but with a oil cooler to keep costs competitive and single to keep the price down unlike the gsx 250r which is a twin cylinder.Originally posted by umang10 View PostThanx mate

That's only a rumour, shouldn't be spread around. XPulse is/was a concept bike. They "may" show it at the auto expo, but whether it will see the light of the day remains to be seen. Case in point - EBR offerings.Originally posted by abhijithpreddy View PostAlso there were rumours that Xpulse might be delayed indefinitely due to hero bankruptcy , not sure the best company to depend on right now .
Yes, accessories are available that fit 99% of bikes out there.Originally posted by Pareekshith View PostPlease do tell me if touring accessories such as tank bags, panniers etc are available and compatible with these bikes
No. RC200/390 has a very sporty stance. And if one learns to seat himself properly, even that becomes comfortable. RS200 isn't even as sporty as the CBR, stance-wise.Originally posted by Pareekshith View PostI heard that rs 200 has a very sporty riding position and gives back pain on long tours. So, I didn't consider it. CBR is discontinued right.
What about the 24 hp Inazuma mill (2 cylinder) making rounds?Originally posted by Deathwing View PostHow can you say that? And regarding FZ25, it was already available in Brazil in the same state of tune. Yamaha didn't do anything India specific.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Re: Selecting a perfect tourer under 1.5 L
I have been riding the RS 200 for quite some time now. Have covered around 18k km while mostly riding in the city. But have gone on a few 700-800 km trips and did not find the riding posture that sporty. But again that is my personal opinionOriginally posted by Pareekshith View PostI heard that rs 200 has a very sporty riding position and gives back pain on long tours. So, I didn't consider it. That is the gsx 250r, it would cost a lot more than the bike I've mentioned about. Even I enquired about it and said it won't be coming, instead an up sized gixxer 150 engine bored to 250 and with a oil cooler will come. It will pretty much use a similar frame on the existing gixxer 150, will have to wait and see till the year end for more concrete answers.

Thank you everyone. You removed my prejudice against rs200. I think I'll also wait till the launch of gixxer

Re: Selecting a perfect tourer under 1.5 L
FZ25 would be an ideal choice IMHO. If your cruising speed is over 100kmph then you should worry about the wind blasts. if the speed is somewhere around 70-80kmph then wind blasts aren't much of an issue.2009-2012 Apache RTR Fi (Sold)
2012-2014 Pulsar 180 (Sold)
