Although going by your post which is pretty vague to even comment, If it's between the FZ or Hornet then I'll choose the Hornet over the FZ V2.0.

But being myself here, I'd still search for FZ carb variant in preowned market and save some money. But, it's just me.

Well thanks for letting me know that I should be posting only intelligent questions here and not vague. It’s good that you are so intelligent. May god grant you more wisdom, but still that doesn’t serve my purpose of posting here.

Slow down my man.... He just wanted to ask you your requirement like total daily traveling... Percent of part Highway and City travel.... Ergonomics required.... Any mileage preference... Fi vs carb.... Pillion comfort, etc ...
Give details by editing your post or post a subsequent answer....!!!

Chill bro.... You need to provide details like your usage pattern, your requirements (mileage vs. power), you budget, why you narrowed down to those 2 bikes, whether you took a test drive of them. Also your height, preferred riding position (upright vs. leaned) also play a role.

FZ is light but power is less. Mileage claims (from my friends who own them) vary widely from 40 to 50 kmpl. Its comfort zone is <80 kmph.

Hornet is a bit heavy but also offers more power. It returns a mileage of at least 45 kmpl. Also gets front ABS. Cruising speed is 10 kmph more than the FZ.

If you answer the above questions, you can get a more detailed reply from the forum members.

Yes Suomodeep bro, post as per the guidelines suggested by Om bro in this post. It helps fellow xBhpians to suggest ideal bike for you.

I myself am buying a bike soon, and the guidelines made it really easy for me to get ideal recommendation of bike.

Even I had doubts over fz. But of its not greater than 100kmph speed and you fine with spending on some good quality synthetic engine oil. Nothing beats it. Don't go by paper figures ride it to get the feel.

As far as engine refinement and reliability is concerned nothing comes close. With yamahalube the engine does feel stressed post 85 no vibes though. I switched to Motul 7100 and now it often touches 100 unnoticeably.

Most of my drive is on highway / expressway with speeds in range of 80 to 100kmph. Fuel economy is always 50+.

My ride has just completed only 1 service. With a bit of sane riding it will certainly give you close to 60kmpl.

100kmph is more than enough for 2 wheels. In my opinion.

You should test ride and gauge your comfort level rather than just relying on spec sheet.

Bottom line is FZ outsells honda hornet and it's not without no reason.

If you looking for extremely punchy performance well test drive a KTM.

Better to go for apache 160 4v, better than both of these

I would choose the FZ, it is low on power but has a gem of an engine, check out the Apache 160 4V FI.

Apache 160 4V is a punchy performance bike in the same price range.

Am not a TVS fan at all ,

But the Apache 160 4v is a Bliss !!! Indeed

I too was in a confusion ,a month ago on buying the Hornet or FZ or P220 (out of budget though).

Then I regret this dilemma after I did a test drive (couple of times).

Actually I am not insisting to buy the Apache or whatsover ,it's totally about your wish and needs to be fullfilled.

Why I NOT SELECTED HORNET :

Definitely Honda engines are a Bliss (bullet proof) .

It doesn't provide a low end grunt which I expected , and important thing it has no ENGINE KILL switch at all !

                          * No DC electricals ! LOL
                          *Less power comparing to others.
*But CBS,ABS are a must one !(No one gives that)

                          WHY NOT FZ !??

yammie is the world class sport bike leader undoubtedly but I had experienced a severe wrist pains with a Fz (with pillion) and it's pillion seat is not easy for Ladies !

*Though it has good fuel economy and decent speeds ! Thumbs up

I'VE NOT CONSIDERED PULSAR 150,180 or GIXXER on buying thought.

*But GIXXER also offers ABS nowadays it's a good move !

Note: I've mentioned my personal views and not to exaggerate or insult any fans here !

                          I am 6.1 ft ,yet comfortable with my Apache 160 4v .

So whatever, whoever it be I may say that take a test drive all those bikes (at least a km) just notice the changes and select your best !

** Don't believe on YouTubers ,not offending them but mostly hoax creators are there !!!

                          * It's better to find the noticeable things on road rather than the specs sheet !

                          Choose wisely ,

                          Ride safe.

Thank you for your prayers and hope it's being answered every day by evolving myself to accept the fact that there are still people like you who are still hit by ego of massive proportions and still don't realize their mistakes and swear by their words.

Did you ever try reading the guidelines for posting a thread? Probably I'll not blame you. It's the problem with the moderator who still authorizes content that adds almost very less or no value to the community. xBhp for you to reconsider this.

But you know what, I still gave you a sensible choice to choose. That's just me.

P.S. Did you ever have a thought that those random 10 people who were backing my comments can't be wrong either?

Note: Personally I like all the features of Pulsar 150 as I rode it 3 years in Delhi (2005 - 2008) but i think considering maintanence it’s quality is not consistent. Features are the best till date. Only this reason makes me hesitant to invest in Pulsar but my heart beats for it always.

                              Regards..!
