Note: Personally I like all the features of Pulsar 150 as I rode it 3 years in Delhi (2005 - 2008) but i think considering maintanence it’s quality is not consistent. Features are the best till date. Only this reason makes me hesitant to invest in Pulsar but my heart beats for it always.

Being your preference as Honda or Yamaha, will you be able to extend your budget a little bit more?

Asking this because I personally feel that any 150-200cc will get you bored fast if you are an avid enthusiast. If you can extend your budget a bit more as I said, look no further than the FZ 25. You'll never regret the decision made and can keep the qtr litre bike for at least next 6-7 yrs without the urge to upgrade.

I too was in a confusion ,a month ago on buying the Hornet or FZ or P220 (out of budget though).

Then I regret this dilemma after I did a test drive (couple of times).

Actually I am not insisting to buy the Apache or whatsover ,it's totally about your wish and needs to be fullfilled.

Why I NOT SELECTED HORNET :

Definitely Honda engines are a Bliss (bullet proof) .

It doesn't provide a low end grunt which I expected , and important thing it has no ENGINE KILL switch at all !

        * No DC electricals ! LOL
        *Less power comparing to others.
*But CBS,ABS are a must one !(No one gives that)

        WHY NOT FZ !??

yammie is the world class sport bike leader undoubtedly but I had experienced a severe wrist pains with a Fz (with pillion) and it's pillion seat is not easy for Ladies !

*Though it has good fuel economy and decent speeds ! Thumbs up

I'VE NOT CONSIDERED PULSAR 150,180 or GIXXER on buying thought.

*But GIXXER also offers ABS nowadays it's a good move !

Note: I've mentioned my personal views and not to exaggerate or insult any fans here !

        I am 6.1 ft ,yet comfortable with my Apache 160 4v .

So whatever, whoever it be I may say that take a test drive all those bikes (at least a km) just notice the changes and select your best !

** Don't believe on YouTubers ,not offending them but mostly hoax creators are there !!!

        * It's better to find the noticeable things on road rather than the specs sheet !

        Choose wisely ,

        Ride safe.
        Why not P220?

Re: FZ FI V2 or 160 Hornet 2018

If you've decided between them , i'd advise you for Hornet 2018. Has got more punch, top speed and better fuel efficiency than FZ v2.

FZ - > looks, throttle response, smoothness, brakes, Instrument cluster is outdated and boring.
Hornet -> doesn't look that bad, better acceleration, combi-brake system ( some variant ), top end, fuel efficiency, Instrument cluster looks better ( thought it is subjective ), pillion comfort

How i came to conclusion ? Well, i've ridden both FZ and Hornet for long distances trip and i own unicorn 160.

But If you can extend budget check Apache R160 4v or test drive Xtreme 200. Honda / Hero / Yammy engines are built to last.

Well, in that case, Hornet makes more sense than the FZ 16

Well, if you ask me personally the design is not appealing at all. On the other hand the Hornet looks a million bucks.

Exactly, hornet is the best looking 150cc segment (naked) motorcycle. Click image for larger version

Apart from Design. What about the quality of the machine and also it has all the features needed specially the 55/60W headlight

I've had Bajaj during my early years of biking and Yes they did evolve with better tech and overall build quality from what it used to be before. But Honda is a Honda.

If 55/60w lighting is only the deal breaker, there could very well be a pair of aux lamps installed in the Hornet along with stunning LED headlights.

I took test ride of NS160 now but didn’t like it.

Considering the engine quality, stability, looks , reliability during odd hours at remote locations, Durability I have no choice than FZ.

Guys plz share your inputs too..
