If that's the case, please get yourself a Jawa 300, it has all the heritage and feel of a legendary heritage motorcycle with a far better quality standard.

The only reason one should not buy RE is they are cheating people by pivoting their emotions towards the brand. This must stop. We all should boycott RE.

And now that the Jawa 300 is here, you have your best shot at the heritage brand.

Brother.. Jawa is good undoubtedly but it’s a personal choice. U can’t force people to buy something. As I said some people have their hearts into it. A lot of credibility comes from Indian army as well as they have been using this since a long time. But again that does not take away the poor quality parts and service centres which RE has to improve if they want to continue in the market.

But, the upcoming re customers should also should try jawa, otherwise we'll lose a good motorcycle if we don't buy them. Ok, you people don't like modern motorcycles, but equally opportunity is to be given to jawa also. Reports suggest that it'll get mojos engine, which is a really refined engine than re+ you'll get vintage looks.

Brother the thing with vintage part is that people are very very choosy about the look and feel. Tech always takes a back seat while choosing such a thing..

Its gotten tougher now than when I started
Reading everyone's comments, I can get the general idea that looking after an RE is a task in itself. That said, With no response from Honda's side, I don't have a lot of options right now except RE Classic 500. Yes, dominar is an option, but I kind of want to move a little farther from Bajaj.
I guess I'll wait, and see if any Honda showroom offers a little customer support

Why CBR 250 isn't available there?

It's a perfect one for commuting, touring and take even some Twisties without hazzle !!

BTW , clearly CBR250 is in production BS4 while CBR 150 was stopped before many months I hope !

(I've seen someone bought CBR 250 before a month or so ,you might check the CBR250 Ownership for more info )

I have talked to around 6-7 dealers, and none of them have it. This was last week. I will have to clarify tomorrow, today being diwali.

As for the P150 - sad thing, but this was in 2012, so the grieiving stage is over ..but still disappointed nevertheless, she was my first bike

                          I already own a 220 mate .
Thats the tricky part.. if not CBR then, I may have to wait and increase my money pool, might expand the budget and criteria.
I haven't ruled out RE yet, so still contemplating, al though it is faint

Wow that's great, yeah it's better to wait and watch as there is a definite leap in auto (2 wheels) from 2019 for sure!

The bs4 model was present in the showroom of north east when i got my delivery of hornet abs, and my bike one of the first abs hornet in india. In north eastern states except tvs , we get every motorcycle first, for eg: xtreme 200r, hornet abs etc [emoji23][emoji16]

Re: Upgrading from P220 to RE..wise choice?

I'm not a RE owner but I've used the Classic 350 a few times and the 500 is more stable and has the Fuel indicator in the latest version AFAIK but the only disadvantage you're going to face is the FE. Even with servicing the FE on 350 is terrible and about 28 to 30kmpl, even 32kmpl on highway. A close friend of mine owns the 500 (Non-ABS). He gets about 15.2 to 17kmpl on highway riding and commutes daily to & fro for about 20kms everyday. FE is a big let down and while the bike is stable and eye-catchy (not to mention being smitten by the RE bug), it's not an economical choice.

On the other hand, Dominar 400 has each feature RE 500 offers and is economical at the same time. Careful highway riding will return you about 38kmpl on a good day. It has a higher tank range and really smooth for Cruising. After riding about 180kms on, I must say that the power delivery on Dominar is way better than RE 500 across the rev range, any day. It's less heavier than RE 500, make it easier to maneuver it in some tricky places.
