    5) FI
    6) FI+ABS
    7) FI-Pirelli
    8) FI+ABS+Pirelli

ABS costs 12-13k above the base price, FI costs 12-13k above the base price and Pirelli costed 6k (I'm not sure here..... it was somewhere between 5-8k) above the base price.

Pirelli variant was stopped with the launch of v2 (due to low demand probably)

So, the variant 8 will cost almost as much as a Duke 200, if it was sold today. This takes away the most important selling point of the bike, which is VFM. They can make it but no use in producing something that not even 0.5% of buyers will be buying.
    Yes you are right.
There are less takers for the topmost variant.

But atleast they can deliver if they get order right? They didn’t even accepted the bookings of FI ABS and even till now, they are not.

I’m not expecting Pirelli models. Atleast FI with ABS should have been given in 2.0 as there is mandatory ABS rule from April.

As FI ABS is not available in 2.0, I’m going with Carb ABS and I think I will be happy with the bike.

Also the dealers are not sure about waiting period of FI bikes. But Carb ones are readily available.

        Confused with variants

        Guys, again a query.

Now my friend has some link in Hosur and we got info as Apache version 1 FI Non abs models are available for cheap price ₹69,000 ex showroom. They arrange for EMI and they will temporarily register at Hosur and then we can register at our places.

So, can I book such models ? Because I think these models were at their stock yard for few months.

Will there be any issues with the bikes ?

All are Non ABS FI matte white ones.

(Though I made up my mind to go for Carb ABS 2.0)

Yeah, it’s not that much good in pillion comfort. Also, mostly I will be a solo rider and in very rare cases, pillion will be there say like trips with friends.
          So I don’t have problem in RTR200.

But the variant is the one I’m confused about.

You are absolutely right. ABS is a life saver and I thought of getting the same.

My mind says Carb + ABS, but my heart says, FI and that is the reason for confusion.

Regarding FI + ABS, TVS is well known for very slow launches of their products said at the time of launch.
So I highly doubt even after April, whether they will be able to deliver FI+ABS.

TVS dealers in my area themselves are not aware of this mandatory ABS rule and also about their own products and its variants. So I’m afraid about their service for a FI one.
Hello brother.. RTR 200 is a very good choice.. Go for the ABS carb variant and skip the idea of fuel injected RTR...
Fi variant of RTR200 is bit complicated and its maintenance is a task... So you should go for ABS. Good breaking, easy to maintain, pocket friendly... And also I have RTR200 slipper clutch carburetor variant with slight mods. And its best in its class in terms of reliability and mid range.. I'm also getting around 42kmpl even in deserts and off-road usage.

Yeah, I’m about to book a Carb ABS one.

I’ll be booking within next two days.

                Hello all,

Thank you so much to everyone who helped me with their inputs in choosing the variant.

Finally, I have booked TVS APACHE RTR 200 4V 2.0 ABS (white)

Final cost was ₹1,24,947 excluding Insurance.
                I’m taking insurance outside.
