Need help to choose Bike for 60+ kms up and down
Friends, my name is Saravana currently residing in Chennai and I will be moving to Bangalore in mid of September. My house is located near Whitefield and office near Banashankari. So, I need to travel around 60 kms daily up and down from Whitefield to Banashankari and vice-versa. I am looking for a bike comfortable for both rider and pillion. The bike should be comfortable for daily 60kms ride and weekend ride for shopping, cinema etc with family comprising wife and son of 6 years old. My budget is approximately 1.5 lakhs.
I request the experts here to suggest a bike which can suit my requirements. Thanks in advance.Last edited by xBhp; 08-28-2019, 12:01 PM.Tags: None

Re: Need help to choose Bike for 60+ kms up and down
In My Opinion Avenger is the Most Comfortable in this range, 220 or 160 depends on you,but I'll suggest your cruise varient of it
Rode my brother's Avenger 150 in Intercity ride of 320 kilometers, smooth cruising speed at 75-80...
Can't imagine that much smoothness in Dad's Bullet 350.
Plus Mileage is better than all...
If it's not urgent i Will suggest you to wait till march ending as bs 4 will be obsolete, then you can get better deal...
.
Plus maintenance is cheap
.
Plus It can be modified into a Harley Davidson. I Mean there is huge community of modifiers of this bike in YouTube.
.
N don't forget to wear helmet. [emoji3531]Last edited by jaypatel; 08-28-2019, 01:31 PM.

I cant wait till march 2020, because I already sold my honda shine which I used for 8 plus years in chennai. I need a bike for my daily commute of total 60kms. Anyway, thanks for your suggestion, I will take a test drive of avenger.

My height is 5'11" and my weight is 82kgs. And age is 35. No health issues till date.Originally posted by Arbor View PostWhat is your height and weight?
I am more interested to know how height and weight plays a role in selection of bike. And moreover I was never a bike freak(sorry to be blunt) and my first bike was Activa. I rode it for 5 years and then I sold it and bought shine. After 8 years, I sold shine also. In all these 13 years, my average commute per day would be less than 5kms. So, never felt much difference between activa and shine. But, now, I have no other choice other than commuting 60kms per day and for that, I am religiously looking for a comfortable bike.
With my limited bike knowledge and with some google search, I am little convinced that unicorn might suit my needs. But, I wanted to hear experts opinion and thatswhy I am here.

Re: Need help to choose Bike for 60+ kms up and down
For your height and weight and since your gonna get settled in Bangalore, if you can spend a bit extra the new Mojo 300 ABS is the best for you. Bangalore is like the Mojo capital of India and has the best customer support/community there. With its massive 500-600km tank range you will visit fuel stations less too.
Cheers

Height and weight plays a key role in riding style and comfort. Considering your height is 5'11 , its just the right size for Fz25. It has decent mileage 35+ in city plus riding comfort both for rider and pillion.
