Another nagging problem is the economy in recession,I think it's not the best idea to shell over a lakh on a motorcycle right now,But it's your call.Best of luck!
      Thanks for the suggestion....

It's not updated with abs and as per rule Hero can't sell it. Xtreme 200R is present replacing xtreme 150 cc

They can't register and who'll buy 150cc when one can buy 200cc ! Also recent Hero bikes have reliability issues. The whole company has become flopped.

If you want a simple and reliable bike, Unicorn 150 is a good bet, old reliable design.

If you want something modern, sporty and efficient get Apache RTR 160 4V.

                  thanks for suggestion.

I got quotation for Unicorn 150 with ABS at thansi honda (bangalore) and the on-road price is 108,784 rupees. They say this cost includes with five year OD & 1 yrs PA insurance with 0% depreciation. But this cost is exclusive of accessories. Is Unicorn worth spending 109k rupees plus few thousand for accessories ?

I suggest you to wait for the bs6 variant to arrive.

Bro, everything has gone up in pricing. In case you want something different, you can go with Pulsar 150, maintain it well and it doesn't gives you problems.

I went from Honda Shine to P220 last diwali, it's not Honda smooth but its a good desi bike, you can say it has its own raw character. And spares are cheap and easily available. P150 sells in good numbers so you don't have to worry about parts availability. Anyone who says otherwise of Bajaj, there's a dude who's done multi lac KMs on Platina.

Another comfortable option for you would be Avenger, it's available in 150/160-220 cc. And it would be hard to beat it's comfort level.

I have heard from my friends about front disc brake of pulsar bikes, that one should be very careful while applying front disc brake to avoid skidding even at low speed like 20 to 30kmph... since you are using Pulsar 220, let me know your opinion on this ?
