  • 125/150 c.c best ride quality city bike

I am looking for bike that has good ride quality, i will be driving 30-40 kms in city through some of the busiest routes which requires frequent gear changes and hav to pass thru many traffic signals, quite often i either pick up or drop my wife at her work place so safe pillion seat is important. so my priorities in the same order are.......
    1. ride quality and handling
    2. low maintanence, i m not the kind who gets his bike serviced regularly on time.
    3. good mileage
    4. can be 125/150 c.c
It will be long termer, i have been driving hh splendour since last 8 yrs and i m 28 years old 5 10 height moderately built. seeking quick suggestions matching my priorities.

        Stunner, Gladiator , XCD/Disco 135 in the 125 segment.

In the 150 segment, i suggest either Unicorn or GS150R.
When everything comes ur way, u r in the wrong way ;)

              Go for Gladiator.

              Amazing ride quality,
Feels very comfortable on uneven surface.
              Excellent handler.
              Good pillion seat.
              Smooth engine.
Performance wise can cruise at 80-85 without any stress on engine. Can clock a top wack of 105KPH.
Yamaha Quality. Can expect an average of 55+ in city riding condition (Can increase or decreases depending on riding skills).
Yamaha has prised this bike very competitive too.
I rate this bike an overall of 4.5 out of 5. (.5 deduction as could have generated more torque at low RPM but it's fine of a 125cc)

Just go for Gladiator. Stunner on other hand is a good machine but bit pricy and bit stiff ride quality.

Suzuki GS 150 R, one of the best ride quality, comfort & engine refinement in 150 cc segment. Has more features & luks better than unicorn IMO. Fuel Efficiency in the region of 55 kpl. I had the fiero. So i know what Suzuki reliability is like. I'd say, test ride Unicorn n GS & decide for urself.

wont suggest a GS(i own one) as the pillion seat will be too high for wife/mother.. however it gives good mileage for 150 cc and its very smooth..
unicorn will be very smooth too but wont fetch you a good mileage..
u can look at shine, gladiator, splendour nxg/super in 125 cc range..
                    any brand preferences?? budget???

No specific brand preference, any reliable brand would do but i said before its gonna be a lond termer. no specific price range, only looking for a product that matches my requirements.

if you have to use a bike mainly on city streets and you are not kinda tourer, then i would suggest you to go for 125/135 cc... these machines will mostly be lighter, more flickable in trafiic, better mileage, more comfort for the rider/pillion..
you can check the shine/gladiator/discover/splendour-nxg-super ownership thread for a better perspective.. that will a lot of time investment but its worth

Splendor NXG is not a 125/135.

Unicorn is the smoothest bike in the 150 segment, and the most reliable as well.

It gives around 55km per litre of fuel.

Not much to worry about the maintenance, it boasts of superior quality.

It suits your requirements very well, and yes, it is a good bike for long term!

My second option would be the GS150r, but as mentioned earlier, pillion not so comfortable.
From variable Bhps to a constant 17.6 Bhp.
