    Honda shine all the way!!!

go for shine it's the best of all for you

    good mileage
    honda reliability
    125cc engine-decent for city rides
    less maintenance
ride height perfect for city rides suitable for frequent pillion riding also easy for ladies
ride height is a certain problem iknow it my mother has to search for a high place to seat on my bike donot underestimate the problem
but there wont be any problem if the pillion seats with both the legs on each on one side
if one has to sit with both the legs on one side then the ride height becomes a concerning factor.

    only problem-waiting period!!

you can check the shine/gladiator/discover/splendour-nxg-super ownership thread for a better perspective.. that will a lot of time investment but its worth
Just now read some of the ownership thread
      honda stunner-not value for money
gladiator- lots of quality and dealership issues
so that leaves me wth honda unicorn, honda shine, nobody is talkin of the pulsar 150........looks like theres nothin abt it that suits my needs.

              1. ride quality and handling
I believe the Pulsar 150 offers plushest ride in its class
              2. low maintanence, i m not the kind who gets his bike serviced regularly on time.
Most bikes are similar in this criteria. Unicorn being a Honda should be more trouble free for years to come. Unicorn is more refined and vibrations are non existent. But the catch is it does not have the grunt found in other 150cc bikes
              3. good mileage
Pulsar150, Unicorn and others offer similar mileage. Nothing much to choose from.
              4. can be 125/150 c.c
Buy a 125cc bike only if you feel 150cc bikes to be heavier in traffic and you want that extra 5-10kmpl.
It will be long termer, i have been driving hh splendour since last 8 yrs and i m 28 years old 5 10 height moderately built. seeking quick suggestions matching my priorities.
Test ride the bikes suggested here and go for the one you prefer.

                Amazing ride quality,
Feels very comfortable on uneven surface.
                Excellent handler.
                Good pillion seat.
                Smooth engine.
Performance wise can cruise at 80-85 without any stress on engine. Can clock a top wack of 105KPH.
Yamaha Quality. Can expect an average of 55+ in city riding condition (Can increase or decreases depending on riding skills).
Yamaha has prised this bike very competitive too.
I rate this bike an overall of 4.5 out of 5. (.5 deduction as could have generated more torque at low RPM but it's fine of a 125cc)

Just go for Gladiator. Stunner on other hand is a good machine but bit pricy and bit stiff ride quality.
                Bang ON!

As rightly said i had done a small test ride stunt video etc for Suzuki found the bike good, but not very much good..
                MIleage is flickerable from 45-55kmpl..
handling is also not so good,i mean off cors better than some!

RX is not everyone's cup of tea and with his requirements stating clearly that he is not game for frequent services - I think he shouldn't even think of RX...

You said that you will be riding through the busiest routes isnt it?
Then why dont you look beyond bike i.e. Scooty (Gearless) which is hassle free(No gears).
But if you are determined to buy a bike then look out for GS150R .Nice bike as a commuter.
                          Or else Unicorn FTW!

Unicorn all the way. Seat customization is about shocks setting and seat within the city really.

Dear uncle you are wrong on this one, I do not agree with your this statement. Riding double seat on monoshock is breeze, especially on Uni. Infact i'v seen many bikes with traditional twin springs which lightens up the front with double seat, this problem is nowhere in Uni. Uni is more comfortable with pillion.

About buying a city bike, i suggest Unicorn in 150cc category. No nonsense bike. But check that rear seat hight is more than normal so climbing on it for short people is difficult. In 125cc category i suggest Shine, less gear less tension in city trafic
