and BTW will HH be launching passion super pro or something like that in the near future
    Who knows?

Passion Pro costs around 51k+ OTR Mumbai. That i feel is too much.

Go for super splendor. Its a good bike - 125cc, electric start, and also comfortable ride...
And you wont have issues as HH svc are almost everywhere...

PERSEVERE... failure is not an option!

        How about a Scooter ??

@ravi : Why don't you suggest a gearless scooter like Activa, lots of convinience , a trouble free and reliable scooter ?

These gear less scooters don't give mileage.
I have dio which gives about 40-45.(which is same as activa)
          So,i really need a bike

I Would personally suggest TVS Flame 125cc

Since im with it .... you cant get anything better then this from an 125cc...(im saying only 125cc not 135cc)
More features - eligant riding (specially for commuters).....

              Looking at your criteria..

              The safest bet would be

              XCD 135....

The bike has an awesomely smooth engine from Bajaj...(probably Bajaj's smoothest till date)

Expect mileage to be at least 60+ kmpl at least

It has got rectangular swingarm to aid handling...

Good pick-up and load carrying capability....

On road price for base model is less than 45k (for kick start)
and top of the line goes to around 51k in Pune....which includes self start and disc brakes....!

I dont think you would get any better Value for money bike in that price.....!

hey dude, i also have been doing a major survey for a bike for my dad for his daily use..he needs to ride to and fro from the bus stand everyday..approximately 10 kms everyday in traffic... so this is what i have shortlisted..
1st choice- SUZUKI HEAT- superb 125cc engine with a 5 speed gearbox.. price is only 40k..so amazing value for money..and my dad really wont bother about the looks..efficiency will be around 60+....max power-8.8ps max torque-10 N-m...

                2nd choice- Yamaha Alba - a very tall sturdy bike..nice engine(106cc) and gearbox(4 speed)..very comfortable ride...price-44k.....

take a look at these bikes before u finalise..all the best!!...

i am getting 50+ i am really satisfied with that...... and according to me it handles good when you compare with any of the 125cc bikes....... and gladi basically has the very good suspension set up....... may be your dad might feel the comfort while driving..... go for a test ride and check it out......

We have now 2 options with us passion pro or honda shine .
                            what about honda shine guys.
                            How is the bike running.
what are the problems with the bike?

^^ Congrats for narrowing down to Passion n Shine, both are good bikes ..and ...If I were to be in your position, I would ask my dad to try out both bikes, and then leave the choice to him ?

My dad didn't like the overly done graphics for passion and waiting time too is 30 days.
And in various reviews of the 2 bikes i saw shine having more city mileage than passion.
I think we will go for shine.
