Dude! the FI is dearer by Rs.15000 because it has a Fuel Injection (FI). FI is much costlier than a carburettor which is used in DTS-i.

After riding the carbed one for 200odd kms I'm completely convinced that the carbed version is a much better alternative than the Fi one.If both the bikes are available at the same price(at their current form) & I have to buy one bike out of the two I will buy the carbed one.

          Why?

Reasons as to what makes it a better buy?

The FI version is technically superior than the SI. May it be acceleration, throttle response and an almost instant power surge during gear shifts, the FI delivers it all. Frankly talking I do not know about the SI version so I cannot comment on how good the bike is. I own an FI and would suggest you go for a Fuel Injected version . Grab it before it SOLD OUT..!!

see its not about money.....tell ur friend vinodraj ..... anyday the fi is better...if not for the cost difference...... the carbs are cheap yes...they don pack the technology of an fi...fi gives consistent performance...... whenever, wherever... the bike still feels extremely alive at one push of the button even after a long time.... feels new every time u ride it... take the reason as to y all cars and trucks come with advanced fuel injection these days... a reason behind it too....

Even i support MG here as even i had same feeling!!!
A guy of my kind wudnt mind in-gear acceleration, sudden throttle response, efficiency etc etc for a premium bike.. I dont mind down shifting a gear or two but when i hit the redline i must be greeted with hair rising sheer pull which the p220 dtsi betters than the p220 fi... Just check out the difference at higher rpm's its very much evident on the dtsi, I mean revs build much more easily and in a fast manner even after 9k rpm compared to the fi. I also love the tall 5th cog which is boon on highways!!!

While the FI is boon on hill stations and for those lazy cruisings where u are tooo tired and dont wanna downshift a gear even if u get slow at speed breakers, just wring the throttle and there u go baby - the 220 fi is really grunty and torquey no matter which gear u are in..
                  Fun Starts at Redline!!!

i bought my p220 dts-i in august 2009 for Rs 75K...Fi's price in gurgaon at that time was 90k(approx)...a huge difference

there is a huge diffrence b/w carb bike and fi bike,

                        karizma zma-r costs 76 k in delhi

karizma zmr cost 97k in delhi

but i think 220 fi production is stopped and only old stock is remaining, so better not to go for a product which doenst have a slot on company's website
