    Adding one more question here.

Is the sitting stance same on both CBZ and Hunk ? Or both have different positions ? Are both sporty or commuter types ?
    Had Suzuki Shogun
    Have TVS Fiero F2

nimma : Test drive Hondas : Unicorn, Hunk and CBZ Xtreme.
swafa : Seating stance on Hunk and Xtreme are more or less same...(comfort-fit ) both are 'stylish commuters'

^^The Hunk is a bit sportier compared to the CBZ. The Uni is even less.

          i think go for rtr
it will give you a very decent mileage.
and regarding the sitting position once you get used to it there would be no pain

Just to clarify...I am from Bangalore....The roads on which i go to the office are good....in fact i travel a bit on the Mysore Road which is a national highway i think.......I would go for a test drive this weekend(Although i have ridden almost all bikes except Hunk and FZ).....

whn i thought of buying these are the factors..
unicorn heavy than any bike in its class+but more waiting time in HYD, donno other places
gsr - handling is good.. but i didnt like the phy.appearance..
cbz - this was my 2nd option gud looking.. mileage better than fz...
apache - frankly i never thought of it..
pulsar - common vehicle.. so out of my mind...

              lastly i choose fz..

may b as per ur req... better gor for unicorn as this proven reliable machine for both road an highways
Yes unicorn is almost heaviest in its class till its on the stand once its start moving its very light in manouverability ....it feel as light as splendor ....BEST bike for city riding condition...very much flickable.....since you are 5'8"-5'9" it shouldnt problem though with sitting stance...mileage would never be issue...
else it Choose between RTR160 and FZ16 ...and zip-zap through traffic

Go for the gs or uni. Both are good for commuting.

Ok i just had a test drive of RTR 160.....The on road price is 65,875.....I enquired about the FI version...apparently its 75K....The RTR 180 is 72K.....The stance is ok....and i feel comfortable riding the bike....dont feel much weight as well.....The engine is a bit noisy...(Not like the GS or Unicorn).....but then RTR is for the nosie ryt??....Well i think i would have to go for this....GS is a very comfortable ride....my roomie has it and i occasionally have a drive on it....its smooth...but its just that i am not sure if i could handle it..i mean in worst case scenarios....Do you guys think i am making the right choice??.....

If you like it, buy it. No more look around.

I would say RTR is a Panther of bikes, I am really impressed with new 180cc motor. RTR series is slowly taking place of RX100, the dream machine of any Rossi wannabe.

From my side its thumb up for your choice.

Indeed the GS is very comfortable. Probably the most comfortable riding position in this segment..... I'm around 5'10" and weigh ~61Kg.... I never had problems in handling the bike.. even in the worst come scenario... Gives you a milleage around 50 to 55 Kmpl.. very good mid range pickup.... And NO vibrations even at speeds >100 Kmph (I've tried till 110Kmph..Its rock solid)....The price tag is well within your limits(68 - 69K on road B'lore)...so you can very well go for the GS.

You can visit the Ownership thread and know more about the pros and cons of the bike.. Also you can meet some of bangalore people who can help you out....

RTR is a good bike buddy....but I always felt that the TVS bikes lack longetivity....Well at present they might be good....but they always had a short life....
How many 5-6 year old Victors can you see on road....or how many
You can now also see 15 year old HH CD100SS or Deluxe on the road....

But it does not mean the RTR is not good...it is really a awsome bike in power...and also I suppose it suits your height and not much heavy comapring to Uni or GS...

But it has a sporty sitting posture which will suit some people only....as you said you have a back prob....it better to choose for more commuter posture....

the GS even though heavy is very comfortable and damn excellent riding position.....once you are on the move..it does not feel heavy...

First choice according to me is GS and the super refined Uni comes second that....

man..when you are handling a bike of 135-138kgs....10 more kgs harldy matter....

I am not very sure at that... I find surprisingly high number of Victors on the road... the ones that were not produced after 2003 (close to 6 years old at least). Yes, the Hero Honda's dominate the number even in the old bikes. I find very less Hoodibaba's, CT100's, Boxer's and a rare Caliber or 4S Champion in comparison. Considering that the Victor is the first complete bike designed & made in India, this is an accomplishment indeed.

And, did you count the number of Suzuki / TVS Fiero's you find on the road even now? That number is better than or equal to the Classic Pulsars or CBZ's. For an engine derived from the Fiero and from TVS, expect the bike to last... defanitely not as long as the Honda's or Suzuki's or even those underestimated Yamaha's would but it should not disappoint you. My Close to 5 yr old Victor nearing 60K on the Odo was used very roughly in the City all the while and it is yet to give me a big trouble. It defanitely has got a longer innings to play!

if you go for FZ donot forget to look at its brother fazer it has a different kinda look, though i donot know why not much people liked its look, and it is a city bike , donot get into those ads of yamaha saying it to be a tourer,it has very short gearings ideal for city...
if you go for HH donot buy junk ooops sorry hunk...
