  • second-hand bike under 10000 bucks

guys i want some advice from you.

i have a R15 and i love my bike. but i don't want to take my bike to college because it will get dirty and i also dont want to ride my bike in the messy traffic

so i want to buy a second-hand bike.

    my budget: Rs.10,000.

my requirements: any bike will do as long as it gives me mileage of around 40 kmpl. will it be possible to get a bike at my price point or should i opt for a second-hand scooter. which according to you guys is the better option?

    thanks.

Look out for a second hand max 100 or samurai, should give you millage over 50 and should be available within 10k.

Go for Kinetic Hondas or Suzuki Samurai, you may get RX100 but for well maintained one you may have to shell out more.

if you can find bikes, auctioned by Police, you can get any good bike in Decent condition under 10000 bucks,
my friend got a Bajaj Caliber, 2001 model for 7500 rs,
and just 2000 rs for servicing,
its working fine, without any hiccup

else you can look for bikes mentioned by above members.

Weird!!! Come on dude!! You have got a nice pair of wheels and you want to hide it at your home Not done!! Boys usually get dirty.. Play with your toy at the fullest! Else why did you buy it!

If you really want to go, go for RX135 or RX100!! Nothing better than these

God forbids to imagine what you would do if you own a R1. Maybe lay down newspaper where the tyres will tread . Anyway, if I was to go for a second used two wheeler, I would go for a gearless scotter.

I completely agree...Btw,an RX should the trick i guess, but as vipin pointed out,you may have to shell out a tad more...If you're ok with scooters, then there are plently of options out in the open waiting...

You are officially the BIGGEST NON POSER EVER...for a college going guy...dont do pooja to your bike by keeping at the garage...if you are still hellbent on not using it i suggest you an RX100...but you have to strech your budget if you need a decent one

Try searching for a Max 100 or a Suzuki Samurai. RX100 or RX135 wont give you 40kmpl as you mentioned. It may but would be hard to find. If you find a four stroke like boxer, caliber etc its fine otherwise go for the max or the samurai.
If you dont care about FE Yamaha Rx is the best that you can get.

PERSEVERE... failure is not an option!

i guess RX100 will be a little costly. i i'll search for a bajaj boxer.

bro, rx will definately cost you above your budget
and if bychance you got it under 10k then you have to loose your wallet for its maintainence and all, so it will be better to go for caliber/boxer or samurai would be a good deal
                              all the best
