Congrats on choosing P220 DTSi 'the fastest Indian' !!Originally posted by yash.rsa View PostI did a lot of research and has concluded that indeed P220 has an edge over all of its main competitor and esp zma due to following points :
1. best look (wolf shaped front headlights are stunning), people may say they dont like it but is it really true or a reaction from envy...lols, its a personal choice.
2. Better handling and posture, read somewhere that clip on bars are actually more pro-comfort.
3. Best mileage despite being the fastest. p220 makers deserve applause for this.
4. Most powerful.
5. Pulsar has made its presence dominant in markets of Guatemala, Columbia, Malta, SL, Indonesia and rapidly growing in Brazil and making marks in 50 other countries.
6. It makes p220 a worldwide winner, would it be a brand of honda/yamaha it would have thrashed the sales record in every country.
7. HH is ruling India from the last 2 decades but did nothing outside India due to its aggreement with Honda which prohibits HH to sell its bikes in Honda market countries.
8. We must appreciate and support Bajaj not because its an Indian company but because it has world class products who are conquering the international markets with great competition.
6. P220 a worldwide winner ?
That line should belong to 'jokes thread I guess !!!
7. What has this to do with selecting/rejecting P220/Zma ?
8. Anyways Bajaj is loosing market in India at an alarming rate, Here's a GK question for you What is Bajaj's Marketshare in India (aaprox)??
a. Market leader with >50% b. 40% c.30% d.20% e.15% ??

Chill dude, Why are you getting tensed up dude ?
What do you mean by saying "it has world class products who are conquering the international markets with great competition" ? If you have substantiation for above sentence I'd like to know ??
FYI, I didn't find any truth or sense in that statement !

The term "World class" is debatable. Besides that, Bajaj and TVS bikes are selling well abroad. Mainly due to their pricing and VFM they give at the segment (<250cc). Companies like Honda and Suzuki are getting their share of pie sliced in that segment in the countries where these bikes are available.Originally posted by vipin_s View Post@praful : NO !!

6. This link may help if you are educated enough to understand what has written. Go to page # 26 which reads
: Bajaj Pulsar had dominant presence in Sri Lanka, Columbia, Bangladesh, Guatemala, Peru, Egypt, Iran and Indonesia
and distribution network in 50 Countries
A REPORT ON ?COMPERATIVE ANALYSIS OF BAJAJ PULSAR V/S HERO HONDA HUNK ? ON BASIS OF PRODUCT, PERFORMANNCE AND TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS?
7. I did not see anywhere written by me that "that is a fact of rejecting zma" all I mentioned is just a fact and progressive approach of BML which wants to expand itself beyond the subcontinent and "unfortunately for you" it is succeeding well.
8. Again I do not mentioned anywhere that BML is a leader in India but still it brought HH's heart to its mouth within 5 years of Pulsar launch. BTW, all were loosing sales due to reccesion and BML was the major victim because of non-introduction of new versions and neglect of marketing strategy. And now when new products have launched, the sales are multipying. Afterall, a Lion doesnt have to roar to prove himself a lion.
Whatever your blubbered, it had little to do with the main issue. ZMA is a fantastic bike, I never rejected this thing and I respect that bike thats why I was confused between zma and p220 but after a lot of research I found that p220 is the one for me.
Better luck next time.

That was the comparison between p150 and hh hunk, dont go off the topic. You asked for the refrence and now you have been given. I wanted to prove that Bajaj Pulsar indeed has dominant presence in number of countries, reasonal sales in plenty of countries with great fan following worldwide which makes it a world class product. World Class doesnt mean world's best but among the best. Is there any question to the fact that pulsars are one of the best selling bikes in the world under 250 cc segment ?? They may not be the best but are definately among the best. People were then joking when Pulsar 150 was launched against the super star CBZ in 2005. CBZ was the dream of every Indian biker. Where is CBZ now??Originally posted by vipin_s View PostYash, Hope you read conclusion of the report

I admit zma sells much more than p220 and there were 3 very important reasons for this :
1. Price : P220 dtsfi was priced approx 90K on road (del) whereas zma was availble at 73-75k, performance lover and price contious poeople got an obvious choice - zma.
2. Looks : There isn no doubt p220 is one of the hottest beast on the road. Wide rear tyres, wolf shaped front lights, awesome built silencer but rear view was still the same. Most of the people thought that if they buy p220 at 90k they'll still be lost in the ocean of pulsars on the road. Rear view of p220 didnt excite them. This further added to their doubt.
3. Glamour trademark : ZMA was advertised by Hrthik Roshan where as p220 had no one. Belive it ot not but people do choose products if their favourate celebrity is endorsing them.
Now, the situation has changed a lot :
1. Termination of FI technology brought the price down by a good 15K and now its priced at par with zma.
2. Though the rear is still the same but its exclusive silencer combined with dtsi technology may help pulling the crowd
3. "Slow Jack" has proved his mark. No need of any celebrity.
Listen mate, no hard feelings. I have nothing to do with Bajaj. Infact I was very much illitrate about all these things 1 week before. But there is no harm in understanding the real issues by keeping our ego asides. ZMA is still the best when it comes to comfort but sometimes there are different priorities which make us take different decesions. I will however, choose p220 over zma anytime.
