    I must admit I have a congenital inclination towards Spiti. Am willing to go there or encourage people to go there on whatever means of transport they deem fit.
    OT - the West Bengal Xbhpian and RoadRollers (RoadRollers - Motorcycle Adventure Tourers) are doing Spiti, very very soon, may be I will be one of them. Mostly the Spiti fever came from Xbhp trip logs (Aryans and others).

        Well, if it is the 2009 R1 we're talking about, then the comparison is different. It's a great bike, apparently much better than 07 model..

        Some complaints around the net about the R1 include vibrations at low rpms, a bit less top end power, etc. But, let it release and I'm sure Bike India/ OD will test it and show facts in Indian Relevance.

        Just for facts, it costs some 7.2 Lacs approx in UK, accd. to current rate.

          it really pushing me towards the CBR (despite teh fact it doesnot look like an expensive bike)

            Think about the benefits:

            1. If you pick a subtle color, you can get by unnoticed. My MT01 looks like an FZ16 from the front but the exhaust note gives it away. I am sure the CB1000R isn't quiet but it definitely won't attract as much attention as a Busa or an R1

            2. Naked bikes are the BUSINESS in India. Fairings are such a bother and all they do is direct the hot air onto your thighs = drumsticks for dinner. Easier to maintain...less fiddly...less stuff to break in case you drop the bike...easier to fit the frame sliders. They are just better...

            I think anyone NOT buying a CB1000R is absolutely bonkers or blinded by passion. While both "errors" are acceptable considering that these decisions are driven more by passion than any logic or concepts of practicality, a step back...a pause may let you see the light!

              haya the queen of superbikes

              haya is best then r1, in speed it kills every one. but a long turning radius is bad thing in it . u esily attain 290/kphs .

                  I have turned my Pulsar into signals with my Dad (70 kgs) and my sister (40 kgs) as Pillions, and add to it the Pulsar itself (155 Kgs Wet Weight) ...
                  A total of 265 Kgs weight was handled by me (65 kgs guy), which is more than Busa itself.

                  So, a little tough it might be, but not enough to worry a lot. Weight is not that much a genuine problem for the average youth, however the long wheelbase might be, as the turning radius is bigger ...

                  Just for facts:-->

                  07' R1 weight = 177 kgs + 17 Litre Fuel + Oil
                  09' Busa weight = 236 kgs + 21 litres fuel + Oil

                  Kriss (from Hyderabad Xbhp) owns a Busa. He can clarify more ...

                      Subjective stuff. Let people decide with both of them side by side.
