The best 100cc in the market....(though not so VFM).....Yamaha Libero G5
Fits in your bill comletely...Best performance, decent mileage (65+) and Yamaha reliability....!
If its costly, than you can also consider other lesser priced options of this 106cc engine like Alba or Crux...
If Yamaha is a problem than I dont think you really need to see beyond Bajaj Discover 100 DTS-Si....!
My personal view says that Hondas are never VFM...!...they ask for a lot of money for the "Brand" they are....in place of the very normal products they make on the road...so probably those (indestructible) 97cc mills can best be avoided...!2002 - Pulsar 150 Classic (Still owned)
2005 - Pulsar 150 Dtsi (Still owned)
2006 - Eterno (sold)
2008 - Dio (Owned)
2009 - Pulsar 220 DTSi

^^^not to forget the features it offers.
BTW,in a recent issue of BI,there was a comparison between 100cc bikes and TVS star city got really good reviews.Have a TD of that also and then decide. It all begins with a thumb-start -- Oh, wait, I forgot the kill-switch

> Several 1000s of them have clocked 100000 mark and is the most proven bike on Indian road.
> Several 1000s of owners of splendor (& siblings) trade their used bikes to get same model once again (unprecedent confidence)
> Low maintainence, and no problem bike, built to last even 10 years if well maintained, amazing re-sale value (5 year old splendor selling as high as 25-27K !!)
> Good to Xcellent mileage ; decent pick up even with 150+ kilos !!
> No Nonsense and world's largest seller in the land of cost mentality population.
Splendor and it's siblings has almost no competition, and I guess there would be no beater in future too !

Reason being : One of the first to be introduced(ages ago) of its type and WORD-OF-MOUTH(in our country that matters a lot...no denial to the fact)...a 97.2cc engine priced @ almost 50k...do i need to say anymore???
> Several 1000s of owners of splendor (& siblings) trade their used bikes to get same model once again (unprecedent confidence)
ah!!! resale...spare me...this is gonna go down along with my Bajaj Super...am gonna preserve all the two wheelers in my family...this gonna be 3rd

Let others prove...they are not even that old

Pick up...No comments...in 4 stroke category and that segment i guess victor has the best pick-up till date...
> No Nonsense and world's largest seller in the land of cost mentality population.
What is nonsense a/c to you?? a 5 gear box? or a nitrox suspension...this way I guess R-1-5 is the ultimate non-sense bike
Splendor and it's siblings has almost no competition, and I guess there would be no beater in future too !
Features!!! please check out the other 100cc bikes...we are in for a change of opinion
I don't intend to offend you pal...but please we need to move on...There are better bikes and we need to give them a chance to prove their mettle...
@All : I am almost settled among the Disco100 and Star City110...
Points about disco 100:
Relatively new, Looks nice, 5 Gears(although hardly needed...can say that after the test-ride...still), @ 43k decent enough
about Star City :
A somewhat detuned Victor engine, nice li'l package, decent enough pick-up and priced at 39k OTR is a great VFM...
In both the cases after-sales service worries me...but i guess with the simple engine it won't be that big a pain in the a**

Go for the XCD 135
The xcd 135 is a large selling bike from the bajaj stable. It looks more stylish than the measly 125 version and has mileage 65-70kmpl. You get the maximum features for a 125cc bike on this one like nitrox suspension, digital meter, led lampetc.. go for it...Reduce 1 km/hr speed, add 1second 2 ur life.

To be honest the disco100 disappointed me BIGTIME...nuthing much to jump your a**** of your seats for...just another 100cc bike...
@Saravjit : Can't help bro...the place where this bike's gonna be ridden doesn't have a suzuki showroom/svc centre...
@Vinchel : Bro...read my 1st post...This one is for someone who is 54 years old
...they hardly even look at the console other than when bike goes to reserve

I doubt the 100 cc offerings differ much from each other by a great margin in pick up and power.. after all virtually all of them make 8-9 Ps power. How much difference would 0.2-0.3 Ps really make..??
I somehow feel that you would prefer the Star City.. you have mentioned earlier about your positive opinion of the Victor brand.
Go for it.
