    I somehow feel that you would prefer the Star City.. you have mentioned earlier about your positive opinion of the Victor brand.

    Go for it.
    Nothing like that brother...you never know I may end up getting the Disco...Just that we keep discussing these Pulsars/R-1-5s/Apaches so much that now I find myself as a novice in this 100cc segment...one more test ride and I will be on...Hopefully I get time soon enough to have the spin...Need to decide max by this weekend

      @100aadmi(soumen)

      My HH CBR 100RR has clocked more than 101k kms. not much maintainance costs ill date!

      A broker was ready to buy my bike for 22k rs and it s 7yr old bike and it was a BROKER! while he say he'll give only 32k for my 20 month old RTR

      Splendor has THE best resale valvue in market today.

      All said splendor feels like a over powered 75cc bike once you test ride its competitors bikes

      If you ask me there are better bikes in market other than splendor.

      P.s - if its for your dad why not get him a good ZMA

        its high time HH stops doing stickering work and launching a new variant.. what they need is a real new bike ...

          Ah so this was the thread happybiker....

          Well you know my views over the phone....but still am interested to know what finally was decided?

          EDIT: I still say try and convice him for an Activa. Very very practical scoot. Else I'd still say Star City all the way, and stay away from herd mentality bikes if you get what I mean

            @Soumen

            As i havent test ridden the Disco/Star 110 but then i would like to share the latest results of the shootout conducted by OD.

            Mileage: Highway City Overall Top Speed
            Disco: 89 85.1 86 87.6km/hr
            Star110: 87 82 83.2 94.7km/hr

            According to OD's verdict, the Star City has come out as a clear winner."The engine feels much more refined than the Disco and pulls better.The plush riding will keep you smiling through the 9-to-5 grind."

            Though i havent ridden the Discover.I am pretty sure it is a damn good bike and has superb VFM quotient.But then, the Star makes more power and has almost equally good mileage sans the LED tail lamp and the extra cog.

            Hope this helps!!

              Ah!!! in that case next time am home I will get that here and dad would be left with the old Bajaj Super again...as I can't even give away the RTR

              All my efforts went through the drain...he won't settle for a Activa...

              @Swagat : Thanks for the inputs. I don't think I will have enough straight roads to achieve that speed...so I would look for a better pick-up...about mileage...well !!! anything above 60-65 would excite him as it would be double of what he gets outta our beloved BAJAJ SUPER(am gonna preserve it )

                Hello Buddy!!

                I think everyone have mentioned their views over here and had described all the 100 & 125 cc bikes within your budget.

                I would suggest that a test ride will make you finalise the bike.

                If you know the exact requirement I dont think it takes long time or confusion to decide the bike.

                My Suggestions would be Yamaha Crux/Hero Honda Splendor/TVS Star City.

                  Also you could wait for the upcoming 100cc bike from TVS. It will be directly pitted against the new Disco.It has a new design and a new engine block. The ARAI mileage is actually the highest and it will feature auto-choke.

                  The bike might be launched during the Oct-Nov timeframe.

                    bro I have already had one test ride of each...problem is this segment has so many options but the difference in performance is very less...and to top that I have hadly been amog 100cc bikes(initially dad's scooter and then a caliber115...that too last rode it more than 3 years back)...so I will be taking another test ride and deciding upon which one to go for...By this weekend we are gonna book it

                    3rd two-wheeler in the family and a bigger one expected in a year or so...boy!!! am i excited

                        @100men

                        Suzuki SC is not available. How about Yamaha? The Crux is worth considering.

                        I never liked the TVS Star series after my Victor. They are a little more silent but didn't have the pull and no better in mileage dept either. But the Star City 110 has considerably good pull.

                        When I bought the Victor it was for the headlamp and the seat. But I am grateful to the handling & braking of the bike. The same chasis goes into the Star series.

                        It is a ridiculously narrow choice if we take HH bikes out of the equation. Are you sure you don't want to consider any of the bikes from HH stable? After all, what ever anyone may say, they are the most reliable & easily serviceable bikes in India.

                            Yeah indeed their bikes are easily servicable but even STAR or for that matter the Disco too don't come with a rocket engine ...I did consider HH bikes but I don't find the logic behind their pricing...I would have even shed a extra 5k for the same had it been something worth...

                            HH is the market leader and all is fine...CBZ classic and the ZMA are probably one of the best bikes india has seen...But we need to get over it and atleast give others a chance...Todays market we got better VFMs than a splendor...PERIOD!!!...am referring to bikes as a package and not re-sale

                            Hey...Did we meet in hyd??? how do you know the 100men thing

                            Actually bro as I said the place where this bike is being bought has only TVS/Bajaj/HH show-rooms/SVC centres(basically a small town you see)...so these become my only options...

                              Well, when I said HH I didn't mean Splendor. The CD Dawn & CD Deluxe are priced 3-4K below the Star City. They use the same engine & chassis used in the Splendor & Passion plusses.
