My vote goes to Pulsar 220 DTS-i..

You may also consider the new HH ZMR! Hero Honda have good resale value.

the vibrations are not at all a problem. it is very much less compared to the vibrations on rtr... i say go for the 220dts-i. i have reached 145kmph on my dts-fi only and i weigh 86.2kgs. i think the dts-i can reach more than that!! Though its not about top speed. The acceleration and roll-on figures are the best in its segment. I just love the way the bike surges ahead even in top gear at low rpm. The headlights are the best. There are times when power goes out, i take my bike out on dark streets just to enjoy the headlights.
The brakes are also good. Fortunately i havent had any issuses like sound from brake and others.. The service is a bit let down though we have one good service centre here.
The only prob i have in my bike is the centre stand scraping and slight vibration at exactly 5k rpm..

My height is around 5 ft 4-5 inches.. and weigh around 62-64 kgs. Having ridden the RTR, I can safely say that the RTR would fit you like a glove.. and I am also inclined to suggest you the RTR due to our similar body sizes.

But then here is my experience with my P220: The weight of the P220 has been ok for me to haul around.. but I have to agree that the saddle height of the P220 is a bit tall for my legs.

I have always wanted to shave off a couple of cms off the saddle.. But hey, as I look back I realize that I have completed almost 2 years and around 23,000 kms on my red devil. Maybe I'll shave off the foam from the seat of my bike someday.

Take both bikes for a spin listen to both your heart and mind, the evaluate your priorities and then make your decision.

Hi,i would disagree with you here... 21 PS cannot be really called very powerful be it any country. and pulsars are quite easy to learn riding on. I myself learnt riding on a classic P180 n Zma and i hadnt even ridden any gearless before that..Its quite a general misconception that a person riding a gearless wouldnt be able to handle the geared bikes properly. He is riding from past 2 years so we can presume that he has at least some basic idea of braking,accelrating,traction etc. As for fatalities, we cannot really always blame the young riders,can we...just my thought..no hard feeelings bro

The market is biased towards HH bikes, followed by Bajaj. If you are going for a TVS, I suggest you try selling it to a friend when you are leaving, that would fetch you a better resale.
Coming to your question about the P220, the vibration is much lesser than RTRs. Engine refinement front I rate TVS better.
Bajaj quality is evolving&improving. Niggles are there&warranty is also there to get rid of most of them!
If you want absolute peace of mind I suggest you go for a Jap. But abuse her&she will also trouble you. Hope you understand!

Well at the moment i feel that if i have to shell out 95-96k on a ZMR with a front fairing which i dont like, i would mind spending 10-15 k more for a R15 which looks and rides better. Am not a tourer so, theres no + for ZMR from my side.

Top speed doesnt matter much, its the 0-100 and 100-0 (braking) figures which matter the most. Regarding headlights, you guys blind me when am on my Activa which has a headlight which goes bright with the speeds i reach
Hows the rear disc brake of pulsar220? Is it effective or like most other bikes the bite is only their in front discs?
We have same body structures, to my eyes RTR looks much simple to handle and as far as my estimates go without a bigger front fairing like P220, theres a psychological effect that RTR would be easy to handle.

Some relief..... Can we do anything to reduce saddle height if legs dont reach the ground safely? Removing foam looks a crazy idea lol. We have a cat here who can do that for sure, she has torn apart all bikes seat covers here.
23000 kms, thats a lot. For choosing a P220, i can handle the weight as its 150 kgs and activa around 120, 30 kgs isnt much iof a diff at all. I think i can fit on th 220 seeing your dimension and mine match.

At max, i may intially press the left lever along with left one to brake (left is rear brake in activa but clutch in bikes), after sometimes confusion will surely go away. Am sure those who drive automatic cars can drive manuals too and vice versa. Atleast i do that.
Young riders are blamed because they zig zag through traffic, an accident can happen to anyone anytime, we should just try to maximise our safety.

Till now i was in a misconception that RTR has less vibes than a 220 but reading comments here, it seems for 220 dtsi, vibes have reduced, false gearshifts are non existent. Only issue now is niggling issues and serv centres.

For short heighters FZ is real good, given you like the looks. New fresh design but seems am "Baba Aamte" type who is happy in normal looks.

Hi! I own an RTR Fi since 1 year and i can easily say that it is quite good for city usage. it's nimble,flickable but let me tell you 1 thing- TVS svc is a pain in the A** Especially in south delhi.I have had many issues with tvs service. dont knw nething about pbk serivce

Ok so am back after seeing the 220 and ripping it on the DYNO Will get the bike before i turn 18 it seems, cant go out of Dwarka without a DL though.

Saw a green NINJA and a BLACK NINJA at the display and i shouted in excitement, hey that Bajaj PBK.
Went in and didnt even look at the Ninja (Aukaat nahin hai abhi), had a look at the Black 220 on the centre stand. Mom exclaimed and said "This looks too big for you" and that broke my heart.

Thanks to Rashid (salesman), he said "Itni kam height bhi nahi hai bacche ki", i told him i want a DYNO RUN. Went in and sat on the RED 220,
1. Awesome Self Check came and Neutral light didnt come up. Put in Neutral, light didnt show up. Very bad. Restarted again and light came up. (Getting ready for niggles)

2. Tried 3 times and stalled bike in 1st gear, salesman said "Is this your 1st time- i said yes". He sat on the bike and ripped like anything in all gears.

3. I sat, slotted in first, picked revvs till 4k and let the clutch go.
AWESOME EXHAUST NOTE, let it go till 115 (told mom, this is max it can go otherwise she wont let me buy)
Came out, asked the salesman to remove the Black 220 from centre stand as i wanna see if my legs comfortably touch the floor. To my surprise, the seat height is almost similar to H ACTIVA. No problems there.

Conclusion:
Wont TD any other bike now. The deal is sealed. Its the Pulsar220 which am getting soon. With 5"5 i could easily sit on the bike. Everything looked and felt good.
Dad is stuck on a Black color and am stuck on Red or Blue one as Black is too common. Lets see who wins. If all goes well, i will book the bike next week itself and if its Red its ready delivery but waiting period of 5-6 days for Black.

Do give some tips on how to choose a bike from a lot of stock, hope these guys dont sell me those RIPPED 220's on Dyno runs

Dad is not allowing to me even go to a TVS showroom, thanks to a Victor gone bad in the family and poor service provided. He says either Yamaha or Bajaj.

I am also sick and tired of tvs service.i am even contemplating selling this bike because of the problems faced because of those buggers at the svc. hey whts the on road cost?? is blue color available easily?? how ws the byk on dyno?

Nahin yaar, want to look a bit diff from the crowd. The deal is sealed on a RED one, if dad still forces, will take the Black one. It was looking good with full black styling with a lot of grace but i see hordes of Black Pulsar's on roads, i heard police keeps stopping Black Pulsar owners for checking etc so am a bit afraid+ trying to maintain a black bike.

Have a hard time cleaning Activa black every week+ waxing it too.
COLL? Will turn 18 soon, 12th mein hun. Big boy now though by face i look a bit kiddish
