      1. Unicorn - looks kinda old
      2. GSR150 - no commuters for me dude.....though I do like its display unit
      3. CBZ Xtreme - looks kinda ewwww(my personal opinion)
      4. Hunk - allright I did consider this one but styling wasnt appealing to me
      5. Fazer is too costly for the power and mileage it gives
      6. Fz16 - Well for some unexplainable reason I dont see myself buying this one though I love to ride my friends bike.....but I dont wanna own one

So I think I'll go in for the apache 180 or the p220 will take a test run and get back to u guys

Though I'm tilting towards the apache 180 coz my mum wudnt be as scared as she'd be in getting me a p220(larger engine = larger probablity of me crashin') and still I'll be fast enough to compete with a p220 rider

          I m too a student also i own RTR 180...

I personally like both the bikes.....

I advice you to go for RTR as it will suit your requirements....

Acceleration is almost equal...and tell me are you going to cruise above 120 always...???I hope not...

The top speed is something you will miss but in my case it doesn't matters me much...RTR is much lighter and have very powerful breaks so you will never have problem controlling the bike....
But in case of 220, it is a bit heavy and also not as powerful breaking as of RTR...A larger inertial mass means more time to stop....and yes it doesn't maneuver as quickly as RTR....You might also save some petrol......It(RTR) is a fair deal...for a student at least..looks also are just Deadly...!!!

dont worry about service....i found TVS much responsive in my city(next to Yamaha at my place)..

While I was Hunting for a New Power Bike ,My First Priority was P220.But it costs damn Rs82500 here in Kerala. While RTR180 costed Me only Rs 71800/- OTR.

What I meant is ,If p220 is available for Rs77000 OTR ,You are getting a Great Value For Money.

Alright the day started unusually. Woke up at 10(DAMN SIR WILL KILL ME). then thought that I havta go for a test ride of rtr180 and p220, so decided to take a leave and called in sick. Got dressed up at around 11 and headed towards the bajaj showroom near my place. Took a test ride for the p220. Then went to a TVS showroom and test rode the rtr180.

                  My findings:

P220 is too big for me......well not physically as i was able to put both feet on ground but I guess phsycologically.

RTR180 looks good, handles well, and most importantly looks good. Did I forget to mention it looks good??

So I came back home with a decision to buy the rtr180 (couldn't book the bike right then as my mom wanted to be there from the start). Broke the news to my mom that I've selected the rtr180.

Her reply: beta paper sir pe aa gye hain aur tujhe bike chahiye?? (Son, Exams are right on your head and you want a bike??)

Me: par aapne kaha tha..... (But you promised....)

Her: result ke baad pakka.. (After results..)

                  Me:

                  Her:

                  Me:

Sorry for waking up this dormant thread, but I took neither the RTR180 nor the P220. A LE R15 called to me and it's been around 6 months of pure awesomeness.

Thanks all who gave their opinions

This thread can be closed now.
