This is a must and I wonder how TVS is gonna present the ad, I hope it is sensible enough to atleast have the customers take the bike out for a trial.

Acts like a gear less scooter - doesn't move unless you twist the throttle - centrifugal clutch.

          oh!

people who ride bikes are going to find it a lil' different to get used to...
for gearless scooters to bike upgrade, it will be a easy thing to get used to!!

more over people in learning stages will not to unnecessary scary wheelies that i used to do when i was learning to ride

test rides are the standard. But they have to conduct awareness camps that specifically let people know that there is something like this out there and let them see how really good it is by guiding them.

Even the showroom guys need to understand a few things clearly to let the customer understand and appreciate the value. I guess TVS has to attend to this subject in a big way to make the bike a success.

There are Lots of Questions arises to see this Clutchless Gear Bike....

A Test Drive of it will clear all the Queries about it.....Think TVS Should provide Introduction Camp for this Bike....

To Be Frank there is no Bike I've ever seen without a Left Side Lever.

Scooters will have it for Rear Brake - Bikes will have it for Clutch
But JIVE seems to a Strange Bike - which is Left Blank for the Left Side....
Rotar Gear this is something which many people are not used to it....All Down Gear Pattern will definetely be a challenge to learn....

Any possibility that TVS has got the Jive in to counter the Honda's CB Twister... that I am getting a feeling that it could be a clutch-less or even an auto-gear bike???

                        Saw JIVE in Chennai

Was following him for quite a Few 5 kms - but unable to Speak with the Rider Though
The bike was riden by a man with full Gears with a pillion wearing Helmet
He stopped the bike in the Signal without lowering the gears and took off without using the gear shift....
I was really not sure how he does this - because there is no Clutch Lever available
But saw him Changing the gears on the go - so probably the bike can be Hault with the first gear...

                          tvs gearless bike

A company in the uk already market a very succesfull clutchless system that can be retro fitted to to just about all bikes from Hayabusa`s down ,the system works by an autoblip system which blips the throttle on downshifts unloadind the gears and allowing smooth clutchless downshifts it is used on road and race bikes and by disabled riders, take a look at FlatShifter Performance Gear-Shifting and Automotive Products they also do electric push button gearshift and full throttle clutchless up gearshift systems.

Jive has a rotary gear system without clutch, hence it is a clutch-less bike (no clutch lever; you can shift the gears directly). You can start the bike in any gear. You can shift to 1st gear from 4th gear directly.

Honda Activa or TVS Wego ???

                              Xbhpians,

I am planning to upgrade my Father's trusty old LML Vespa. Not that he wants to replace it, rather I am pushing him to upgrade for comfort and convenience. For his age I think automatic will make more sense (He is 75 years old)

After looking at the available options, I have narrowed down to the following 2 models.
                              1) Honda Activa
                              2) TVS Wego

I initial thought of buying Honda Activa, but after hearing about 3 Month waiting period I am considering TVS Wego. Saw some good reviews about it.

Please share your comments, facts, reviews and opinions

                              3) 2007 Baja Pulsar DTSI 200
                              4) 2008 Yamaha Gladiator 125cc
                              5) 2009 Yamaha YZF R15

                              8) ???
