Well, I don't own both of them; IMO, since the days of RTZ, Bajaj is an all rounder for a short term, however they're not well suited on long term. I somehow believe (could be my illusion too) most of the Bajaj vehicles are don't last long & they rattle a lot. They may have the best top speed & mileage compared to any TVS product, but, you can still see a few AX or MAX 100 owners more compared to RTZ or KB125. This is my opinion.Originally posted by rennycornelius View PostSkill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

At 5'11, you're pretty big for most Indian bikes. Forget how quick or fast it can go. It won't matter 99% of the time. Heck, I have these little ladies on Scooty(s) always gets ahead of me on signals. BTW I ride ZMA-R
. Try to get the bike that will be comfortable for you 99% of the time. So in my opinion, size will matter for you in the long run so my vote on P180.
I can suggest a big bike for a small person, but not a small bike for a big person.

If you have racing DNA in you the rtr180 is the un-doubted choice.you will really enjoy riding it.great handling in corners.
With P180 you get big bike feel, decent engine but not as aggressive as RTR.
Good for long tours than RTR but for trips under 400 kms I thing RTR will be equally comfortable.Pulsar 180 scores decently in all but extraordinary in none.
So just test these bikes once, and I tell you if you are a RTR guy at heart you'll be inclined to it in 1 ride itself.Aur signal nahi mila to go for P180,which is also a great bike

RTR180:
1. Vibes & tappet noise are common with almost every RTR. Its like its unique feature.
2. Its a race bred engine & fun to ride in city.
3. Gets really painful on the highways atleast for me & iam 5 8".
4. Better handler than the Pulsar anyday.
5. Tyres are not so grippy.
6. One of the best clutch out there. Can take almost any amount of abuse.
Pulsar 180:
1. Overall a smoother engine than RTR
2. It isnt a race bred engine & doesnt perform as good as an RTR180.
3. The seating is much more comfortable. A better commuter bike than RTR180. Can take you on highways as well with comfort.
4. Lousy handler.
5. Better tyres.
6. Pathetic clutch response when ripping real hard.
I somehow feel TVS service is more pathetic than Bajaj.Biking is not my Passion, it is my Religion!

Therefore, Pulsar 180 has a lot calm, stress free engine. P180 has a proven engine which is working for 4 or more years. Thus, in my personal opinion you should go for 180. it has a decent mileage of 45+ and is a good handler + has more stability at high speeds than A180.
If u are plaining to go for the Apache 180 Its a better Choice as the performance which u are gonna gfet far better than Pulsar 180 at the as the
ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS For TVS Apache RTR 180 are
ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS
Displacement:177.4ccEngine:Single Cylinder, 4 StrokeMaximum Power:17.3 Bhp @ 8500 rpmMaximum Torque:15.5 Nm @ 6500 rpmGears:5 SpeedClutch:Multi Plate Wet TypeBore:0Stroke:0
But for Pulsar 180
ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS
Displacement:178.6ccEngine:Single Cylinder, 4 Stroke, DTSiMaximum Power:17 Bhp @ 8500 rpmMaximum Torque:14.2 Nm @ 6500 rpmGears:5 SpeedClutch:Wet Multiplate ClutchBore:63.5Stroke:56.4No. of Cylinders:1
as the specification says that the power which u are gonna get with the Apache is better than the Pulsar .... as well as the looks are also good and if u looking for Speed Apache RTR 180 gives u a Top Speed:125kph with 0 to 60: 4.35 secThanks and Regards

a180's performance is not FAR better but just better than p180.in initial pick-up there is noticable diff but at the top end p180 does give good competitionOriginally posted by mayur_rohankar View PostIf u are plaining to go for the Apache 180 Its a better Choice as the performance which u are gonna get far better than Pulsar 180
Apache RTR 180 gives u a Top Speed:125kph with 0 to 60: 4.35 sec
even tvs claims top speed of 124 kmph fr rtr180,which in actual would b even lesser..........

What about vibrations?Originally posted by krates View PostApache 180 all the way looks better performs better and every thing it does better..
Why are u always against pulsars?
If I have to choose , I will take RTR 180 just because......
I have a 220!
Both are good machines.
Pulsar 180> more relaxed(smooth but RPM building is slower)
RTR 180 > more aggressive(slightly better throttle response and even better vibrations)

Vibrations are nothing.. It doesn't matters much.. when I had a doubt between FZ/apache I asked here and people here just were saying there are so much vibes in the bike (Apache) I read many threads people were all talking about vibes and all... But when I test rode it I thought for this little thing they are making a bike look bad?.. Vibs are nothing atleast for meOriginally posted by kochumvk View PostWhat about vibrations?

The only thing I found bad in Apache is its Suspension and nothing else..
And why don't I like pulsar is because all around me is.. pulsar pulsar pulsar.. pulsar is more common than passion here.. Pulsar handling sucks infront of R15, ZMA , FZ, APACHE and all which is one of the most important factor which many doesn't consider..
And now bajaj is making P150, P180, P220S all looking same with small small differences.. next will be P135 in P150 design and P150 in P180 design and P180 in 220s design and P220S with a slight change in look lol.. that is what I don't like.. And it is completely my opinion
Let there be the power torque or anything in the pulsar but in the end I find something missing in the bike thats it.. and that is all my opinion...
Riding, loving and enjoying my lord of the streets.. FZ-S...
And dreaming of an R6/R1/FZ1/CBR 1000RR
