and FZ's mileage really sucks...apache being more powerful gives much better mileage..if you dont want performance and simply want to commute and ocasionally go for long rides GS150R is a much better option and a 1000000 times VFM than a FZ,its much more refined plus 6th cog for highways and performs well in the cities too. my choice would be

Performance + city rides + highway rides - apache
    city rides + mileage + refinement -GS150R

IMO, best of both world would be P220S. Negligible vibes coupled with good handling and stonking performance and at a very VFM price too.

As for the FZ, go for it only if you love the looks. Nothing else is exceptional in that bike.
Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

Thanks for all the response guys..

Just want to clarify somethings, I really don't care how the bike performs in a drag.

I want a bike which is easy to ride and a good blend of performance and comfort..

the GS had some really nice features like toe and heel shift, gear indicator and smooth engine.. but it was really heavy!!

The apache was nice to ride with good pickup, actually I couldn't handle so much power in the beginning!! Also I couldn't feel the vibes in the speeds I was riding it in. At what speed does the vibes creep in?

I haven't test rode the FZ yet, but people were complaining about the lack of a knee guards in it.

and price wise, I think the showroom in one which I inquired quoted the price with the cooling net kinda thing on your seat Not sure, will confirm once tomorrow.

Go FOr gs 150 r. any day !
                    1.Smoothest gear shiftign
                    2.55-60 kmpl mileage
3.its got6 gears.. gives u a better edge at top speed
4.It might not have a pick up like rtr/pulsar. but has a top speed of 120 kmph.it can kill the other 150 cc seg bikes except r15
5.its a crime to have started this thread. dont compare gs RIDE it. FEEL It. n then choose the best

                      Hello ppl,

I have booked an Apache by making a 1k downpayment.. Now I am thinking whether it would have been a better decision to go for P180! What's your take on this? which one do you think is better?

how can that be when fz has 13.6 nm torque @ 6000 rpm and apache RTR has 15.5 nm torque @6500 rpm?

the RTR180 is better, figures speak for themselfs...even RTR 160 has 13.1 nm @6500 torque....

from my personal experience the apache rtr180 can pull from 23kmph at 5th gear
are u sure this can happen???? i m pretty sure the bike would stop right where it is!!! i mean ull hav to drop 1 gear n take it to the 4th one to go from 23kmph!!!

^^ Footpegs will vibrate a fair bit on A180. And not the seat.
