    i have some more queries..
what is the mileage we can get in both karizma and fazer in city and highways?

regarding suspension which ones is better?karizma or fazer?
also fazer has wider tyres and karizma got thinner(relatively).how it wil affect the bikes?which one is better for which kind of riding?
also what is the speed range in which karizma gives good mileage?

Fazer is a smaller engine and hence is better in the mileage department.
Expect 30-35 on ZMA and 35-40 on Fazer in real Indian city driving conditions...!

BTW considering your queries I feel mileage is a bigger criteria for you and you are banking on the wrong segment here...

Before putting your money at stake, reconsider your shortlisted bikes according to your priorities...

Nothing to compare b/w ZMA and fazer.. fazer has just got d looks and is getting flooded in the market.. both pricing almost the same, go for ZMA.. no second thoughts.. you will find an average of bot 35 with your ZMA.. and its justified as per its performance..

          :-)

believe me.... The fazer is unparalled by the karizma in either ways... Be it power, performance . Looks' is totally upto your discretion.. As someone might like it and someone not. Consider the pulsar 220 also, its performance carts a holocaust upon others.

+1 to that... you can expect a mileage of 35-40 for the fazer coz i own an FZ and a 30-35 for ZMA... there is not much mileage difference, so my choice is to go for ZMA which is proven tourer and also a good city bike... if you are concernered with the mileage these two bikes are not your choice.

KarizMAA....all the way you get good power to weight ratio from Honda CRF engine zma is 150kg running on a 223cc motor where as fazer is runing on 149cc engine with total weight of 141kg only 9kg lesser and 74cc shorter and gives near about same mileage so it depends on you...power to weight ratio is very important now a days...

Sorry Fazer has 153CC not 149CC

as you are not concerned with the mileage then go for a ZMA...

Well in that case you would be filled to the brim once you go to the service station. ZMAs spares are the costliest on any Indian made bike.

For instance, punny little front disc brakes cost 2300 insane Indian Rupees......

I still feel you might go down one segment for your bike...

It indeed is Techno as i have ridden(and owned/own) both for significant period to comment upon and as far as braking goes, FZ/Fazer is streets ahead and before the guys scream bloody murder, then maybe i would need to sort out my riding skills, so excuse

as for the original query, ZMA is a better product anyday.
The engine of the Karizma is way superior to Fazer/FZ with the only deterrent being gasket leaks but you can always overlook it,

The Karizma's spares are obscenely expensive and the quality that comes attached with it makes it rubbish

Its a really tough call to make, if the Karizma's engine came with the Fazer/FZ then simply nothing like it,

^if you would be riding more out in the open high-ways then it would be better to stick with the Karizma, else FZ/Fazer( a better built motorcycle)yes, it is not only about the engine, the plastics too have to weather it

and as some one has already pointed out, you would get bored with a slower bike soon and for me it shall be real hard to over-look the over-packed HH workshop, plastic quality of Karizma and a better handling braking combo of FZ/Fazer, still the Karizma is what i shall bring home

How can you consider a real tourer with a posed tourer? ZMA all the way

mileage of zma-r is also arnd 40 if maintained and run properly.

people who rip there bike and doesnt maintain it well suffers from mileage.

now about spares...the front disc pad doesn't necessarily to be the one provided by hh, you can have alternatives without compromising on quality, like apache disc pad are one which can be fitted

if you own zma it is for sure that you will never regret your decision.

                            rest is your call.
