Myself Kamlesh shetty, a Software professional from Mumbai.
To begin with the thread, will start with my childhood, i promise i wont make it long.well when i was kid i was been brought up by my granny so i always missed mum and bro. Since most of the times i use to be alone i use to spent time with by best friend ' He-Man' (anybody remembers him). But somehow i developed a habit of opening all the electronic/non- electronic things at home. My goal use to be, just to check how things worked and every vacation my mum use to visit me with a model car (which i use to open and always ended breaking it), memories of that 1 single day would last for long. I grew up doing the same thing and was never good at studies,
. when i was in 8th standard i started loving the bike exhaust sound and i started making different type of sounds (vroom vroom). I always use to fool my friends by saying i very well know which bike makes what type of sound,
. Few years later, i saw a documentary on 'Discovery channel' about 'Jet Engines' and i was like
oh shucks, vow.what is that. So i decided even i will make one like that. when i came to know its not easy so told everyone at home i have decided what i want to become when i grow up (Fighterjet pilot) everybody laughed,
. i always use to loved flying kites, watching eagles float in the air so high. Always i had so many questions which nobody bothered
so developed a habit of finding things on own. whenever, i use to get a chance i use to open our TV, Radio, Mixer Grinder and believe me i had a whole drawer filled with wires, nutbolts, metal pieces, magnets, ballbearings etc.
. By all this i was always sure about one thing i just loved machines.By the time i reached by junior level college days i managed to be a super rider only on my bicycle
. Later after few years, my cousin introduced me to Luna
. i just enjoyed the experience. Few years and i was flying on scooters (of course borrowed from friends) with no helmet, no license
. During my university days, one of my friend asked me to come with him on his Pulsar. As soon as he accelerated
, my heart was in my mouth and i was like - sweet mother of god- what is this thing carrying in her belly, so aggressive. I was like 'oh shucks this bike is crazy and dangerous. I was very scared to sit on Pulsar since then. But slowly got use to it. Still the craze about doing things on own continued. So when we bought a new Refridgerator, used the packing material and made a model F 14 Tomcat(US Fighter Jet) attached 21 diwali rockets to it and a parachute to the canopy and was ready to test fire it. but since i kept it for showing off in my balcony the freaking rain messed it all up.
Life continued and started losing the confidence towards becoming a pilot. so choosed family career ' Accountant' (we had a family of 7 people out of 5 were accountants
. Few years in Bank Audit and got a opportunity to go Abroad for studies. Spent Five years and i was badly missing my Des and unfortunately, my sweet granny passed away for her next journey so came back for good and now work in mumbai as a Software professional since 2011.Then few months back i heard about Iron Butt Association, i liked it and decided as and when i get time i will attempt it, just to see the biker in me. Through, it came to know about xbhp and just loved it. so decided to join the brotherhood of bikers.
Achieved and Losed many great and best things, people in life. Even now i feel alone but i must tell you the day i joined Xbhp i am not bothered about been alone, i just log in and u have so many topics to read, so much of information. i have started to feel the connections between my love for machines and the way it has connected me to Xbhp (all the members), where i can meet freaks like me
. At the end all i want to say - 'Life starts when you start riding'. This is a original quote by me. By the way i am quite good at making quotes.

Thanks for reading my gheesi peeti love story with Machines and keep riding safe.
