  • It's good to be here :)

    Hi

    I am from Coimbatore, Tamilnadu.

I am pretty new to the riding scene: I started riding only around 7-8 months back, when I got my Apache RTR 180 ABS. I have clocked close to 8k on the odo, and that's virtually all the riding I have done in my life I have been on only a couple of rides so far, and I am struck by Wanderlust! It also feels good to read the T-logs here, and to see so many people who are passionate about their rides . On days that I ride to college, I cover about 100 km.

I stumbled upon xBhp around the time I bought my bike, and since then its been a world of learning about bikes and safe riding. So I joined a couple of days ago. I tried to read through the riding gear thread and the RTR 180 thread, but they're huge (huge!) and I am snailing my way through them, learning a lot. I also read through some of the 'The Art of Safe Riding' threads. I look forward to learning from and interacting with fellow xBhp-ians, and hopefully our shared passion will only grow I'll be grateful if someone could point me to some must-read threads / newbie threads / "start here" threads.

Lastly, I'm curious to know if anyone here owns a black RTR 180 ABS. My dealer told me they have never sold a black one before mine (could just be my love for black :P ). In fact, it took a little bit of convincing to make them believe that the black ones were still in production

Welcome to xbhp.its been almost 18 months since I had my own bike.I didn't know about xbhp until couple of months ago.this is probably the best place you can learn tweak etc etc about bike world.just subscribe yourself to the thread you would like to.if you are in app then on the top right u can see a star.just select it and any update you will get a notification.
Regarding safe riding which I think should always be your top priority just Google "HOW TO RIDE A MOTORCYCLE"
You will find couple of PDF and there you will be amazed to see or learn so many ways of driving a bike, when to apply brake, minimum distance wrt front car,how to drive at nights etc etc.
Have a great day and happy riding [emoji5]

Thankyou! I have subscribed to a couple of threads to start with, and am trying to read through all the posts. There is a lot of information buried in the threads, and I am learning.

Safety (mine, the bike's, and that of other bikers) is always a top priority The AoSR (The Art Of Safe Riding) forum and Power1 Max Academy : Powered by Castrol Power1 have some very useful information. I also found some DIY videos on Youtube (they are not great, but they are useful all the same), but I am going to live out my warranty period before attempting to do anything with the bike by myself.

Have a great day and happy riding
Thanks! Here's wishing the same for you
