I tried doing the +Quote for a few minutes and then gave up...

The TZR250 was a lucky find (The TZR is very different from the TZ so don't make that mistake ) - I'd put the word out and roughly a year later - this bike practically landed in my hands. Lets just say that Rajkumar picked up this bike and it was intended to be a "Chassis-Donor" for a modified Karizma Group-B spec bike. The TZR250 engine turned out to be a beauty so Rajkumar called me up instead and asked me if I wanted in...he didn't have the heart to break up the bike. I snapped it up before he could complete his sentence and since then it has been quite a journey.

The Teezer is still in Chennai being put through the paces to get the jetting right. Once this is done I'll need to sort out the fairings and figure out a way to get the bike to Mumbai. We've already flown in a bunch of parts as well as spares...everything from the YPVS Motor/Controller, Chain Guard, Sprockets, Brake pads, Brake Calipers etc. had to be either replaced or worked on. Got me a new headlight and Instrument cluster as well. To put it simply - it hasn't been cheap...and it hasn't been easy.

I barely had a 5 minute ride on the bike before I had to head back to Mumbai for work. It was running quite lean and sputtering but I managed to get a taste of it's power (and fuel consumption...the bottle emptying right before my eyes at an alarming rate) running the bike without it's tank and a host of bits. This was at the end of several days of work...I was cranky and so they sent me out for a quick ride.

The TZR will EAT an RD350 and go out looking for a few more. It is THAT much better!

Just 100kms on either side of Pune but can make it to Malshej.Don't take my word as 100% as I have been giving word to Mumbai guys from the past two weeks and failing miserably in it.

Yes GS....we will be in Chennai the day after tomorrow (Thursday) i.e. the 1st of March. Will ride in from Vijayawada. And shall be there till Sunday morning when we leave for Madurai on our way to Bangy via Kanyakumari.

The Chennai event is on Saturday. So we've got Friday relatively free. Lets co-ordinate and meet-up if you are in town then. Will be great.

In the old xBHP we did have a TZR on classified! and I had a bookmark on that page just for drooling!

Tzm 150 >tzr 250

i was lucky to ride a TZM150, Junior brother of the TZR250..
this TZM is actually one hell of a 2 stroke machine. i did 150+kmph and it was still ready to go further.
but dig ur pocket like anything. i wonder what would be the TZR 250 like.

MGB - I know that feeling. Nowadays there is nothing more important to me than to make sure I keep that paycheck coming in every month. Tough times...but I am sure it will pass.

Hi - I leave early saturday morning between 6:00 and 6:30am from Cine-Wonder in Thane. Head to Bhiwandi...Kalyan...Murbad...Malshej. Stick to the Nanded road after the Shivneri turnoff and a few KMs down the road you'll cross a man-made lake. Stop there by the shore and just zone out for an hour before heading back. Thats my plan...

I've already done Shivneri but those of you who haven't - the road from the turnoff right up to the fort is also pretty spectacular.

I'll be riding either the RD350 or the Karizma...depends on my mood and supply of Motul 2T

Doh! I'll be in the office sitting through con-calls and meaningless drivel while you guys ride around the country. I guess I'll make vrooom vrooom noises and lean off my contoured office chair...career limiting cornering anyone?

Have fun in Chennai and see if you can sync up with Rajkumar. Are you guys going anywhere near the MMSC track? Would be a shame to go all the way there and not hit the track for a few laps.

Career limiting cornering. Though some such thing when done on a contoured office chair is more like 'Career Preserving' cornering.

Can catch up late in the evening anyway. And yes, am sure looking forward to meeting Rajkumar. As for some laps on the MMSC track...well...taking a custom-branded bike on the track with a 'bikes on display' event the next day does make me a trifle jittery.
