      Dude...if the ONE isn't ready - just bring the R15 and experience brake failure on turn 8

      Kidding...
      Last time i went To Avez....he told me that the ducati was in "Good" condition...which according to me was quite unlikely after seeing how it was kept..

      @gsferrari
      there is also a Honda VTR1000 with Avez, you have any idea about the condition of that one

        I don't know about the guts of the bike...seeing it was enough to know that the owner and anyone involved in the "project" are all worthy of a firing squad execution. Very sad...the state of that bike.

        Nope...I've been to his shop only a couple of times and I don't know about the condition of his bikes. I have no interest in 2nd sales grey-market sportbikes.

        I might go take a peek at the TZ...I suspect it is a REALLY early model so may not be worth more than a lakh at best.

            I would also be worried about an overheating clutch given our riding conditions. Honestly though, difficult to tell without riding one. I know that most of the other sportbikes WILL overheat and even come to a halt in our riding conditions...even in winter because there is just no air-flow at low speeds. You should consider fitting an aftermarket (muzzy?) radiator fan and perhaps a modified thermostat that will cut in earlier and stay on longer.

            ANY large capacity, multi-cylinder LC bike will overheat in traffic.

            [EDIT] I've just been informed that the 696 is aircooled. I think you will be fine most of the time...except in summer. Just switch it off in Traffic and don't mind the people honking behind you when the lights turn green...they didn't pay for your bike so SOD them! [/EDIT]

                    Yeah, know that. Heard it from the person who was kind enough to let Akhil ride an under-powered R1!

                        Actually the Ducati too had it's front fairing and battery missing, after much deliberation it got a cheap Pudupet Ducati look-alike front done to it. But the bike still runs atleast

                        The VTR is quite in the same condition as is the rest of the scramblers and two-strokes, i've seen it taken out only once. Currently there is a white R6 and probably a red VFR at his place which look in very good condition
                        I'm too intelligent to the unintended, and too dumb for the obvious.

                            I would really doubt that, it had a California regn. probably he's importing it for someone
