I would strongly suggest against riding inside the city at all costs. Anything more than 5 bikes will cause chaos and confusion whilst riding inside the city. Meet at a spot somewhere on the outskirts and then ride to a destination outside the city from there._________________________

Nandi seems ok man.Originally posted by johnblr View Post@ Avin, Meeting place is different this time. I guess we are pretty much clear about the destination. Lets make it to Nandi itself after riding few kms in city
riding in city ? really ? i agree it would be good in terms of promoting , but with the expected number of people . we would have to split the group of 50 odd bikers into groups of no bigger than 5 , and that would mean 10 groups!
+1 there... ! exactly!Originally posted by prafultripathy View PostI would strongly suggest against riding inside the city at all costs. I suggest not to ride in the city, trust me .. it will be flooded with cops and school children, every one is aware of love for our country , and also i strongly suggest avoiding NANDI hills also , the entire route will be busy with cops and VIP's visiting and leaving, if needed a good place with no tension - choose krishnagiri road, take a 100km ride and gather and head backOriginally posted by avinrichards View PostNandi seems ok man.

+1 to that. The route to Nandi is going to be very busy with VIP movement on the independence day and last thing anyone wants is getting stuck in a jam. Plus riding in the city in a large group or in multiple groups is no fun. Keeping track of riders and staying clear of other people in traffic is painful. I definitely dont enjoy riding in the city.Originally posted by nagoo View PostI suggest not to ride in the city, trust me .. it will be flooded with cops and school children, every one is aware of love for our country , and also i strongly suggest avoiding NANDI hills also , the entire route will be busy with cops and VIP's visiting and leaving, if needed a good place with no tension - choose krishnagiri road, take a 100km ride and gather and head back
I'm in if this is a highway ride. As a suggestion, we can ride to Krishnagiri, visit the dam, its an awesome place, we can take a lot of nice pics and return.ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

+ a whole lot of other places!
So that kinda sums it up. nobody really wants to do the city thing.Last edited by avinrichards; 07-19-2010, 04:41 PM.- You spend half your life before you realize your are ordinary, you then, either are too lazy to change or you do the extraordinary and change the world!

With so many against a city ride, i think we should make it to Manchanbele dam.Originally posted by johnblr View PostMy opinion....
If we are avoiding Nandi Hills then we can go to Kanva dam or Manchanbele dam which is really not that far.
Krishnagiri Dam we did last year, & Kanva we did in June!!
Any other option roundabout 100Km each way?

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

but the main spot at manchebele where there is a lot of space to assemble is a bit difficult for the ninja's and other bigger bikes.Originally posted by tibby View PostWith so many against a city ride, i think we should make it to Manchanbele dam.

Savandurga is just 50-60Kms IIRC. & its pointless going there if you don't do the trekking, as there is nothing else there if i'm not wrong.

Is there anything towards the Hyderabad Highway (NH7) beyond BIAL? We had been on this stretch a couple of weeks back, & the roads are marvellous & perfectly suited for a big group of bikes.
Interceptors between BIAL & city are a nuisance though.
EDIT: T-shirt design anyone yet?!Last edited by tibby; 07-19-2010, 05:58 PM.

Great initiative there. The design looks wow!Originally posted by remobangalore View PostHi
have a look at this t-shirt design for ID Ride 2010
Can you try & create another 1 or 2 based on the same tricolour theme?
It will be nice if others with designing skills can chip in with their designs too, so that we can choose & decide soon.
