@Ananth & Other Chennai xBhpians ... Thanks for the Idea and this thread which served as an inspiration for us .... We have successfully conducted our first DIY session and had few learning from it .... would like to share it with you guys !
My advice, get your DIY sessions started too ... just come up with a date in advance and get the sessions rolling !

This Idea is not going to be an initiative unless implemented.
This for sure needs support from someone good in bike mechanics (for sure it's not me 
)..
Instead, someone who got to share any DIY stuffs shall post event details and date and demonstrate it and I shall be one of the audience

I take sole responsibility of not making the plan a success and I was all talk and no action
I propose October 2nd 2011 as a start off date for the Chennai D I Y meet.
May not cover all, but we could atleast start with one / two stuff. And lets hope its not a chit chat meet and every one comes in with enthusiasm to learn.
Place : Some thing similar to Tiger Caves parking Lot.
(Or) Visit any deserted beach road, after the Toll plaza in ECR and we get to have our own space.
So, Guys its upto you to respond if the dates are OK or not.
