I think everyone will be comfortable at 20~25 dec.Anyway plan it

20-24 -------------------packed working days.
25th most guys will prefer to spend with family @ home.

what about 19~21 ... its a weekend ... classes will be over i guess and , professionals should have the weekend off .... Plus we can all get back in time for XMAS ....

I'm game as long as it is not in the last week of Dec, especially from 29th.. have huge work in office.. year end closing n all... Christmas with family can be skipped if there is no other go. But I dont think everyone can do that... And sadly, 25th is a Saturday..

Guess we'll need voting for selecting a weekend... Otherwise how about pushing it to Jan?

Count me in. 'm a newbie here and this will be my first xBHP ride. 'm very much looking forward to it.

Few points from my side
1. Being Christmas, some / many of us will have plans for the weekend (25th being a saturday) and also will have family visits etc: which cannot be avoided
2. Im all for the idea of an all state G2G but I feel this would be the wrong time
3. Like Kochu mentioned, it will not be feasible for everyone to make it for a 3 day thing in two consecutive months (assuming the SI G2G happens in Jan)
4. Even if the Wayanad plan falls into place, I dont know how many of us will be able to make it (going by the response so far)


My suggestion
1. Lets make this a one day G2G (say on the 27th or something so that it doesnt clash with Christmas) at a place where we can have maximum participation
2. Lets have an agenda - in this case discussing the SI G2G.
3. Of course you might ask, why not discuss the SI G2G over the internet like everbody else. If you could hop on your bike and ride for a couple of hours to meet like minded nuts and discuss the same thing that you could from the comfortable confines of your office cubicle, which would you choose ?
2. Lets not hurry the whole SI G2G thing. Like Ranjith and others suggested, let us first come up with locations (keeping in mind distance and hence travel time for others) and availability of accomodation. I personally feel that planning it for January is rushing things a bit.

Ditto! We shouldn't rush the SI G2G... it might turn out to be with less participation... We need to plan it really well...

the case with students here is different from all the office going guys...a 3 day g2g is really really tempting but im afraid a distant dream...in order to make it possible...have to pull a lotta strings and build up a pile of lies! so i think why not we stick to a 1 day plan like neil suggested and a suitable location in between trivandrum and cochin?? reasons being: 1.since this is our 1st all kerala g2g...we could start small and make it large and grand with time. 2. almost all active members are from trivandrum and cochin only. 3. allowances of students from home! (im sorry but savings in the 21st century dont last that long you know! :P

If it's on a weekend, I am fine with any distance. But as per the responses so far, somewhere between Ernakulam and Trivandrum seems to be fine. Shall we start listing our possible locations and dates?

Im probably riding down on the 18th. I was thinking we could ride down to some beach equidistant from both Cochin & Tvm and have a Trivandrum Xbhp vs Rest of Kerala Xbhp beach football match .....
