  • The victor 110 does not race anymore. Production is stopped.
    The only Victor series now in racing is the Victor Edge 125. They are fast man and handle great. They clock the speeds of a road-going apache 150. They top the 125cc class.

    • I feel, Pulsars are Torque monsters and they are not designed for track lovers, they are for street kings who likes to show off what they got on the streets.... Being a city rider i feel R15 and RTR stays way back from me... The extra mid range in pulsars plays a cruisial role here...

      PS: The above statements are purely based on my personal experience and driving skill, hence they may not be applicable to other riders of similar class.

        However, when you hit a corner....they stand no chance.
        The best 5 handling bikes in the country in an order are,
        *R15
        *RTR
        *CBZ X and CBZ
        *Apache 150
        *karizma

        Its even more surprising that a few 125cc bikes outclass the pulsars in the handling department. The yamaha gladiator, Victor, Stunner etc are a few.
        Hey buddy

        Where will you place Unicorn among the above 5?? I guess CBZ-X and Unicorn are more or less have similar handling characterstics.

        • Should definitely be between the RTR and the CBZ X and CBZ, because i read this somewhere that a racer uses a CBZ, and according to him he considers the CBZ heavy around the track (I think his name is Jebin or something can't remember), but the Unicorn except for the soft engine tune has immense potential due to it's dynamics (even the current CBZ X has it's engine from the Unicorn, only the carb and setting is different), i think there's comparo between Apache, Unicorn and another bike in some magazine (either BI or Overdrive cause one of it's testers were Aspi Bhatena) and Unicorn was ultimately voted as the best dynamics around track, When i rode it, it felt absolutely neutral and balanced however hard you flicked it

            When comparing with weights, A stock Unicorn(145) is heavier than A Stock CBZ Xtreme(143). The advantage over Xtreme for Uni may be the suspension setup and the concentrated center of gravity when compared to Xtreme, And even the difference in the unsprung weights of the both bikes.
            But still Xtreme still feels as planted as Unicorn on the corners, May the pace at which the enter and exit the corners is different. And again Xtreme has better power at higher RPMs and Mid Range, Where as Unicorn has the edge at lower RPM and mid range.

            I agree with Joel in the list of best handlers, May be Unicorn is just above CBZ & CBZX.

              Hmmm........ i've never ridden the CBZ X maybe it''s time i rode that too, but like you said the power delivery for the CBZ X being better at higher rpm's is mainly contributed due to it's tuning, and am sure the Uni can be made to do the same thing with a minor mod here and there, and this would really put a gap between Uni and the CBZ X due to Uni's other advantages like the balanced suspension and and setup

                @ELD and the others

                I dint quite get the logic of that test especially considering the Apache had posted the fastest times and won quite comfortably..isnt it all that matters on a track??

                  • awwww...
                    wot a mistake i did selling my pulsar , having it for 4 years and a lac plus kms , i never realised that they were known for handling.
                    @joel
                    did u atleast get to know????

                    Im hunting 4 a buy-back now

                    @el loco--"i always had a throey in my head that a heavier bike will ground in a corner better due to it's mass, but both the R15 and the RTR crushed that theory to the bone, is it any coincidence that both have such a low centre of gravity (relative to others)?"

                    thats a very dumb theory, considering the kinda talks in your posts..obviously lower the centre of gravity, better the cornering!!! whats that gotta do with weight?? the F1 cars work on the same logic, extraordinarily low, cornering above 200!! very light...

                        If Uni can be tuned, Then Even CBZ-X can be.. Any how. Agree with you that Uni always has edge over CBZ-X. I have owned CBZ-X and thorough rides on Uni too.
                        If I am not wrong, Xtreme has bigger jet size and different crank setup when compared to Uni. Experts Correct me please.

                            Yes that is true, man i'm really raring to ride a CBZ and a CBZ X right now, as i heard it the CBZ not only has a bigger jet set-up but also a different carb, so experts plese clarify this too
