Places of Interest

Come-on Guys, its XBHP's 8th Anniversary, we have to have a ride, other states and cities are planning weekend trips, we have to atleast have a day ride for 31st July


I can suggest 3 more places 2 near Ahmedabad and the other Near Vadodra

1. Jhanjhari is wonerdul place to goto its 150 KM from Ahmedabad, we have the option to do some off roading as well if we are interested.

2. Hathini Waterfalls near Pavagadh is also a great place to goto, its not too far from Vadodra and here also we have an option to do some off roading, the sights are wonderful and as its monsoon the falls should be flowing, giving us some for fun..

3. Lothal, is a historic site from the Hadappan era, around 85 KM from Ahmedabad, not much to see but can enjoy.

PS. 2 of my friends are also joining in though they are non XBHP Members, but am sure they will convert once they join in the ride.

So till now atleast 3 bikes / riders are confirmed, I think Sharad too is interested so that might make it 4 of us.

Again open to all suggestions, ideas, inputs, comments

1Eighty, you are most welcome for the ride but I think you misunderstand me, we are supposed to start our ride from either of these locations at 4:30 or 5:00 AM in the morning, so forget the chaos and all, I suggested these locations so that I can be easy for everyone.

Please do keep in mind we are very punctual about the time, and do at-least wear a proper helmet while riding.

2 more of my friends are also joining in, though they are non XBHP members.

This makes it 4 Confirmed riders and I think AlurySharad is also interested if so that will make us 5 confirmed.

In that case Sharad we finalize Nal Sarovar, that will be good for everyone.

Final Plan will be as follows

1. 4:30 Meet at Vastrapur Lake (Opp Havmor Parlour), this is a good place we can find some tea and snacks in case anyone of use needs to fill up

2. 5:00 We start from Vastrapur towards SG Highway via Pakwan 2 - Sarkhej Cross Roads - Towards Sanand - We take Route to Nal Sarovar.

3. We try to reach there by 8 AM latest enjoy there for a while, and it time permits we reach THOL Lake and return back to Ahmedabad by 4 PM. Total distance travelled will be 210 Kms round trip if Thol is included.


Thol is optional and we only visit if time permits and if everyone agrees to it.

Request everyone to carry their Backpacks, water, Cameras and what ever other essentials they feel might be needed on the way.

Ayas it is possible for you to post road map here so it will be easy for every to finalize the G2G,

As coming to Ahm is bit difficult for me... and for G2G i need to left in night then only it possible for me to reach there at 5:30...

Change in Plans to Accomodate a few more riders

Sorry everyone, with POS agreeing to join in and alurysharad also thinking positively about the trip we will make the trip to Pavagadh and Jambughoda Wildlife Sanctuary.

Proposed Trip Plan is as follows

4:30 Meeting at Vastrapur Lake Ahmedabad Opposite Havmor Parlour.
5:00 Leave from Ahmedabad

Route to take.

Vastrapur Lake - AMPC Market - Bridge - Narol - NH8 upto Nadiad and Uttarsanda, take diversion towards HALOL ( Meeting point for POS and other riders joining in from elsewhere). We are expected to arrive at Halol around 7 AM, so please co-ordinate and leave from your respective homes accordingly. We are planning to have breakfast at HALOL.

Once the group meets we move on towards Champaner Gam and then to Jambughoda, Expected arrival is around 10 AM, total ride of around 180 for the Ahmedabad Group, a lot of places to be seen in this small place, we will visit Hathini Falls, Vananchal Eco Site, Kada Dam and Targol Dam (Time Permitting). We leave at noon from here or once everyone is totally bored enroute Pavagadh, everyone is free to have Darshan and we have lunch

Drive to Halol, say our Good Byes to non Ahmedabad Riders and we move back to Ahmedabad on the same route we came.


Hope this is clear for everyone, doubts, inputs, suggestions, critics everything is acceptable so keep it flowing guys.


I will be putting up a worksheet for everyone to fill in their personal details, just in case of emergency. I request everyone to fill in the details, Sharad and myself will both carry a copy of the sheet.


Helmets will be compulsory, carry some water and what ever essentials you feel you might need on the way.

@alurysharad, we have to leave early so as to avoid the traffic you are concerned about, I too am very concerned about the truck traffic, so sharp 5:00 AM it will be.

G2G not getting anywhere

Hi Prashant,

G2G seems to be not going anywhere, we are still only 3 active members here in Gujarat.

Sharad is having College commitments so is not willing to travel more than 50-60 KM this week-end, my 2 friends are out with fever that leaves just the 2 of us at the moment, so I am not sure things will work out.

We will drop the plan for the time being.

Hello everyone,

I am interested in joining official 2nd G2G , but little concerned regarding my run in period (655 kms on odo). Will it be fine to drive CBR for 200kms on the stretch:.

Plz guys let me know.Else there is such no probs.Just fill the tank n go.

well i didn't find any problem coz from the day i brought my bike my normal run per day is 100 to 120 kms... and didn't find any problem... but you confirm it in CBR forum here...

Hi guys, I'm Ashik, looking forward to join this G2G..
I'm in same position as Ankit said, in the running in time of CBR- just clocked 240 ods till now...

As per seniors here in Xbhp, its ok to ride long distance, if proper cooling time is given to the new Engine, i.e stops in between, may be time for some cool groups Photo shoots..
