  • wo... lots going on in 2 days of my absence... lots of xbhpians from tvm... cool...

@akhil - you must take the NH7 atleast uptill Tirunelveli... then you'll surely change your signature... aitnt it guys? . Also, on your ride, if you can drop by AutoQueen at Kaloor, Cochin, you can get nice riding gloves for arnd 1250... Thats where me and balaji bought out gloves (Probiker - balaji, Cramster - mine).

...btw... the road leading to Kanyakumari is not that great, ok... so dont have high expectations... and when is this ride???

Vagamon was not as much as I expected... we visited just 3 places there... rolling hills (or motta kunnu), pine forest valley (lots of pine tress.. 152 acres), and kurisumala. But the marriage was wonderfull....

You can check by picasaweb in a day or two... got to get the photos from my friend too (he has a Canon 450D...but he is a novice with SLRs)

i have never ridden on nh 47 for a long trip. i am planning to take the thrissur trip in about a month.the entire journey is through nh47. will see then. does any body know of the present road conditon. is it good enough as before?
about super bikes, majority of guys who can own a super bike lives in cities.in the cities i am finding it difficult to exploit even my bike. so dont expect any better from a 200 kg superbike. as far as i am aware these bikes need 97 octane gas to run properly. how many stations are there on nh 47 that can offer high octane petrol. which is more economical for a long trip -a superbike or my r15? :-)

superbikes are the biggest blunders on indian roads.

ya dude like I said Its quite a debatable topic and have been very much debated in this forum too An Sbk's sole purpose and thrill is not its top whack.. Each and every bike got its own character.. Check out other threads by fellow SBk owning xbhpians like fireblah(CBR), Doktor(Busa) and Gsferrari(mighty MT) to name a few among many in here.. Go through them to know how user friendly and nimble are their rides even in high traffic city's of Mumbai and Kolkatta.
Any how I don't want to post anymore OT here in this G2G thread, so can schedule this debate to carry over on an offline G2G

Buddy jus to tell u one thing. When you ride a CD100(or any 100cc bike) at 60km/hr we can feel the difference in handling, ridability and all in all the total bikes behavior as almost max or say stressed(isn't it?)... but when u ride ur R15 do u feel it or else do u mind the 60km/hr... i.e one can say it as the cruising speed or the speed at which the bike can be eaisly controlled(handled, braking etc.)... the experts say these in one sentence like..."It is not about the speed, but the time taken to reach such speeds and the time taken to slow down i.e. 0-100-0."

As Nio said there had been so many debates on this topic and am not interested in that...

binoy you too wins . happy?your point is valid but so is mine. let us stop this discussion. like nio said it is a debate stuff. as far as cruising speed is concerned,i cruise at 95 km with the tacho showing just 7000 rpm with another 3000 rpm to go,before hitting the red line. the bike silently moves along with leech like stability. cd 100 starts to shake above 70.
