The theory of top speed is still alien 2 me. I ve went only upto cruising speed (85kmph) on my bird even on the open stretches.. Dunno why.I dont like speeds beyond that! I find thrill in other aspects of biking..

It's not what you ride, it's your attitude that counts.

        • Amidst all these good things happening, there is one news that you guys wont welcome happily...I called up MG today and it is highly doubtful that the tees and stickers reach here before saturday. Just keep your fingers crossed for that!!
Pamphlets have to be given tomorrow for printing..
@sudeep, i just want you to add this at the bottom of second page before the xbhp intro:- "Obey traffic Rules. Ride safe" in your own font.
and post it in the thread asap.

Thanks lijo and balaji, the AC was very much impressed with the content and "The route map" printed and given to him.

          @srijith,

dude, we did not place order from anybody for the gloves nor we are getting it directly from a shop.. after searching a lot, we luckily got a person who was willing to buy a few pairs of gloves from a shop and courier it to us.
If you or your friends have any contact in kolkata, you can ask them to et and courier it. take a picture of what we got and ask them to buy that itself. there is a market there for these kinda biking accessories..

true. my bike belongs to pure racing breed and has lots of practical difficulties in normal touring conditions. for track purpose the rear suspension is set stiff. unfortunately it is non adjustable. so riding on gutter ridden roads is a night mare. i have always been finding it difficult to ride in night. my bike's not so impressive light assembly makes the situation more painful.how ever experienced a rider i become these two things may always haunt me. sorry for lagging behind on the last trip.if i have to ride in the above mentioned conditions i may lag behind in the future trips as welli am embarrased

                • A big hello to kerala Xbhpians.....

need a small little favour from you all. Me and couple of my friends are planning a ride on the last week of March from Hyderabad to Trivandrum via Bangalore and coimbatore.

Can any of you please post the route/road map from Coimbatore to Palakkad and all the way down to Trivandrum. (along with the places of interest that we can visit on the way)

please explain in detail the best possible routes/roads and road conditions from Palakkad to Trivandrum. Any help is appreciated.

MODS : I have posted the same post in the Cochin g2g thread as well. Please excuse as I am looking for maximum inputs from all possible directions.

                    • Hmmmm.... the tees would have given it the final touch.... still, I think we can make do with some uniform colour - what do you guys say???

@MadMax46 - Your profile name seems familiar... think I've commented on your helmet or something in another thread.... anywayz.... glad to hear you are coming down to TVM. We have a rapidly growing xbhp community here... tell us the dates you are here, and maybe we can all meet up...
About the best route... its NH47 all the way... but not all good places to visit are on that route.. The places to visit are often way off the highway... places like Munnar, Thekkady, Kumarakom etc are places one should visit.... will give you detailed routes in a couple of days... there are lots of obscure but beautiful places... hmmm
Guys... help out our friend from hyd...

Bro, you are coming thru NH47. Coimbatore via Trivandrum is a nice route. Now the roads are well maintained... Nothing to worry. Just take extra care about Big trucks behind you. I hve gone tru these routes 3 time. Hope lijo will post the route map for you. Safe ride.
