I think our choice of the curve was wrong.... There were better fast n long corners.... And in those cornering pics I am riding xactly perpendicular to the road!!

            Hello everyone,

does anyone know about the road conditions from cochin to Bangalore via wayanad/mysore ?

Ernakulam, Kerala, India to Bengaluru, Karnataka 560001, India - Google Maps

Who would be the right person to ask about the this?

            Looking to travel next weekend

From Wayand to Bangalore its mostly great roads, narrow but good.

Roads from Gundulpet to Mysore a little bumpy but you can still maintain decent speeds. All this conditions about 6 months old Lets meet up when you are here .

                • After saturdays ponmudi ride, I went to city and came back. Took the bike today only, and lo, I have a flat rear tyre. no sign of puntures or anything. Not a drop of N2 in the tyre...
Now, with the rear disc n all, is removing the rear tyre like other bikes... I've never seen a rear tyre with disc brake being removed... does the disc assembly also come out. Any ideas guys?

EDIT: Fixed the tyre. The first punture repair was leaking. Done it again at same spot. Removing the wheel is pretty easy, the whole disc assembly also comes out... will post a few pics of sloppy work of blore SVC soon. I'm happy I'm still alive after what they did to the disc assembly!!!

The piston housing, brake pads, calipers and the 'frame' on which these are mounted. Will post a pic when I reach home tonight... Thinking of the mis alignment sends a chill down my spine!!

For easy understanding, the front disc brake's piston housing n all are fixed with the fork. But for the RTR180 rear disc brake system, this same part is pivoted in the wheel axis and held in place by a slot in the swing arm. This whole thing can be removed when taking out the wheel axis n the wheel...

                      • AFAIK the whole assembly will come out. I am not having the rear disc , so havent seen that assembly being taken out, but i think that, just like the front disc, the rear disc is also attached to the rear wheel only.when you take the wheel out the disc comes with it and the calliper assembly will hang down.
