  • Just back after the Markonahalli dam ride along with BangaloreBikers. Incident filled ride!

The road was half awesome and half bad. The place itself is good, though not that great n all. It was blistering hot. And while we there, a group of locals came to immerse and idol in the water...

We took the NICE ring road. It is an awesome road... we even saw a busa going in the opposite direction.
Then, on the way, due to a stupid autorikshaw, I rear-ended Avinash's Dio. It rear fender broke. My front disc hit it silencer and now has a slight bent. (Will need to replace it tomorrow before I can return ). A guy on a FZ went over a big pothole and both the rims got bent, and air started leaking.... And on the way back, a guy on a P220 collided with another autorikshaw and broke his leg... he was taken to a local hospital and from there to some city hospital in an ambulance. Few remained there, rest continued back. Started at 5AM, reached back by 5PM.

    What a day!!!

    • Reached back home today morning by 6. It was yet another 12hr, this time night, ripping session. I respect my bike for being able to do it!!! And this trip has helped me learn a lot... about touring, about managing the bike at high speeds, how to fight off fatigue and boredom in long rides, how to handle cross winds (at 3digit speeds), why filling up before reaching reserve is good, etc....

For the first time, I used Shell petrol. 15 liters of Shell, along with 10 liters of BP gave me 39.78 kmpl...

no bro.. its was not 3 digit speeds all the way... the said 25 litre split up is as follows....
Onward ride, somewhere after madurai - BP 10 liters - 3 digits mostly
At blore, before markonahalli dam - Shell 5liters - never touched 3 digits + ride inside B'lore traffic (which is horrible btw)
At blore, before return - Shell 10 liters - one I hit the NH7, again 3 digits mostly

Bro... this one has a glare cap... so there is no glare like the previous one I had.... the light falls strictly on the road only...

The kit cost me 2.8k, LED park lamps free...

                        • Its really heartbreaking to hear of yet another demise of an xbhpian Jai, from kolkata. We, bikers are paying for the Small errors from the part of workers while laying roads. While going through the entire kolkata thread, i came to know that it was an accident in the very similar manner in which nio fell while coming back frm the independence day ride. and am glad that he was wearing his full gear then. Even though the jacket it is torn a bit, please dont refrain yourself from wearing it coz of that.
@all(especially jayamohan chettan) , We must make an impact on this issue of absence of streetlights on highways, pothholes like this on the good stretches of roads which end up in becoming death traps like this , etc on the next event we are planning.
And i would like to share with you a proof of not wearing your lid while going out on bike...from our own member

Take a look at this and am sure that no one will dare to go out without helmet.
