if you prefer a hill station, ponmudi is the apt place...roads are good. The only thing is KTDC restaurant on the top. They will cut your throat after the meal last week, I had their with my family. they have charged Rs500/- for 7 vada and 7 chaya Dacoits.
There are lot of other hill places in Trivandum...Agastiyar hills via bonacaud estate, Ulakkaruvi that near Nagercoil. but these are mostly a trekking area than biking. wish a happy journey.If you need any help pls contact us

KTDC folks are always cut throat. after all they are run by our government! astiyar as in agastyakoodam right? i couldnt find a map to that place in Gmaps. so still skeptical about riding there, but that place do sounds like a remote area with minimal crowd. how is the crowd at ponmudi. lijo told me ponmudi aint that scenic and to avoid this week because of ponkala.

Agastyakoodam hills known for...rare species of plants(Orchids),butterflies,reptiles and animals (Lion head monkey,Kallana,black panther etc) are plenty here. But you have to take prior sanction from Forest authorities to enter this area. You can collect all the details from Froest conservator Office,Vazuthacadu or Forest office at PTP nagar. I think this year's booking is over. Per day 50 ppl are allowed to pass the forest. You can enjoy the trekking two days and one night. There is a building inside the forest with guard and you can stay the night. I had there for 3 times...You will never forget the mind blowing visual beauty of that place in your life

Halogen headlamp for Bullet

Hi trivandrum bikers,

I need suggestions on upgrading Bullet 350 headlamp to Halogen. I am really pissed by drivers who never dim in NH47 here. Current lighting of my bull is really inadequate to see path holes of NH47 during night time.

Can I use a 60/55w halogen on my Bull? Where can I buy it and get fitted? Please help me.
