I hope u looking for the new 500 Classic.. which have the left gear.. I think that its hard to find that in tvm as far as i know we have only limited number of 500 rolled out from the show room. You will get the traditional enfield vehicles in & around kovalam i think.

Let us know when you are here.. also there is another oppurtunity for you people to come join us for the Trisate G2G who is being hosted @ Munnar Kerala (11-13 ) where you are enjoy the natural beauty. Its a 3 day program starting friday and ending sunday.

If you people can make it.. you people heatly welcomed.

As Me lijo Jayan & Aj are going for the tristate i request kindly the other xBHP tvm members to help them as you can.

I had a small enquiry with a bike lending travel agent at Kovalam and they got only a right side Gear 350! there are no left side 500's available as of now with them.
If you are okay with the 350 with the conventional right side gear shifter (also no self start, only kick start) you can contact the agent. will pm u the number!

ALL in the sense, all my college friends used to ask me if i am mad to buy a helmet worth 3k !!( I havent told about the price to my parents or anyone at home ). ALL my relatives , parents ask me if i am mad to go on such long rides on bike !! isnt that so dangerous? ! ALL the people who see us going alone in bikes (Especially when we were at munnar in jan) asked if we were mad to do this solo !!!
I guess these were applicable to most of the guys here AFAIK .

hope you are having a nice time at allapey now .just inform us on friday about your plans for the weekend at trivandrum, so that we can plan atleast a small ride with you and make you feel like home . only a few guys are going to munnar for a ride and majority of us wil be at trivandrum only during the weekend and we can surely meet up.
As nio mentioned, its difficult to get bikes for rent here unlike, how you get them easily goa or pondichery .

Thanks ramesh, i saw that and also got a mail from apex with the details. Going mad again that i ll not be able to go for this one as well coz of the fckin xams !! I m so glad that i am passing out of college soon. Hunt for a job at chennai starts now !!!

Buggers did that back in december also! but then yamaha disposed the rumour and asked to stop bookings till its launch in april and all those who booked then were entitled to receive the current r15 itself.
Hope atleast this time they are doing it for real and not again for current R15!

For me you dont need to try for accomodation & food.. i will be reaching there early morn & will leave the same day itself as our Kerala G2G. What i need is only is a XL Tees of the ISG2G.

Why should i waste money..

Also i will be coming only if AJ joins me for the night ride.

I'm from kottarakara, a place at kollam, i'm Studyin Mechanical Engineering 1st year & try to become a hardcore biker......jus find an xbhp magazine & become a fan of dat............and dats ma way in.........as i where wandering through the threads, i accidentally seen d trivandrum offline meet............i'm interested to take part in dat........dats all...........

thanks for all the help :-) I have to check with my friend when he comes about the weekend. Also with the bike. For better understanding we face the following situation:
- germany is avg temp currently 0-10 degrees - big change in temperature for him
- 4 1/2h time difference - not a big but some jetlag
- you guys here drive on the wrong side of the road :-)))) - new for my friend
- right shifting when never done before - real big change.....

So i just had a short call with him and we agreed to go for a Hero Honda or similar - at least the shifting issue is not anymore. The prices for a bullet he found were also quite high.. he had just mailed me the link to:

You can't expect the sense of road manners prevailing in Germany here
- right shifting when never done before - real big change.....
This is applicable only to previous generation Royal enfields. Current ones and all other bikes in India now got Left side gear shifter only

Perhaps you haven't noticed, they are based at Cochin and not in Trivandrum!Personally I will be out of station this weekend, but we got many active xbhpians here who could help you around with plans for ride while in Trivandrum.
