3 years back, when I got booked for driving my car without proper license, things were different. Charges were driving without license, over speed and another charge against dad for irresponsibility on the road (letting me drive). Instantly gave me a small sheet saying Rs. 1000 and told me to remit the same in the court. He also said that, although I have committed multiple "crimes", that was the maximum fine chargeable for driving offenses. When I said I would give right away, he declined and insisted on remitting it in the court.
In this case, we can be sure that the money is actually going to the Govt. So there are some Policemen who do it the right way.

But fortunately (or unfortunately) dad had some strings in hand, and pulling those strings got us free from the charges. Shouldn't have done that. I was guilty, and so should have remitted the fine.

My friend's brother (dropped LLB ) said always insist on paying at court and get everything properly written in challan.

. Oh..Bad news Your offenses are Mercury light,Over speed,Music head phone while driving,and joel exhaust note???. Do a self analysis where you are wrong and right..correct it as per traffic rules. Don't expect good manners from every policeman.Lots of Kuttan pillai, Idiyan Labodaran pillai and head constable coverted as SI Janardhanan are still here in Kerala police.Their only aim is to collect the target money for the month. Hmm..We should write some article about Police attitude in all the dailies.The kerala DGP already made a Govt circular that the Police should check the car and bike with pleasing manner and don't treat the owners as criminals. We have to draft a complaint to chief minister and Transport minister about this attitude.
