Had the event finished up earlier, I am sure few people (including me) would have given company for few kms. Also, it's always better that they are not accompanied by a large group because that would have slowed them down or pushed few members to speed up beyond the comfort level.

Anyway, we can give them welcome ride back when they will be returning back. That should be great provided they are coming back on week end

Yes, I agree that an early start would have been a lot more encouraging for others to join..but I guess there was just too much to do! And the first leg was upto Manesar, through Gurgaon, was pretty slow so we all rode together. And yes! Let's do the welcome back ride..I was actually thinking of it, and I'm in!!

              • It was a fun sunday to ride on to the venue. So many people joining in the ride!!!!!!!! It was sheer fun. But I want share something which I noticed during the ride. I had participated in a couple of ride witht he brotherhood and know the rukes and follow them stictly. But on sunday I witnessed riders showing off their cornering capabilities and their machines revving character. There were a lot of people whom we didnt meet earlier but they joined in that day. Just a request to all my biking brothers- You might be an excellent rider, may be a street GP winner but when you ride in a group, you need to follow some rules. I saw people overtaking each other from both sides, showing their cornering skills in the middle of the road creating nuisance. This is the reason we bikers are looked down buy other road users. Thought there were people to guide but then assuming everybody has a drivers licence(which means they are 18 & above), they should be mature enough not create problem for other road users.

                • My review of Sat 10th and Sun 11th March 2012, Keep Delhi thread alive.

First of all WoW so much censorship?! Seems i missed quite a bit?

                  Sat 10th- Fix n Flick

The schedule: was not stuck to. In fact it was grossly delayed, to collect more riders.

The ride: I felt some of the new riders did not appreciate formation riding in large groups. They could not resist riding behind the blind spot of riders in front. Overtaking unnecessarily, not keeping distance, formation, etc.

The event: Was not as technical as I thought it would be. May be i was over expectant There were only 2 topics Lubrication and Aerodynamics, which lasted perhaps an hour at the most . The Xbhp organizers tried hard not to endorse Castrol in bold with an underline at every opportunity, they almost got away with just keeping castrol in the background; on our time. The organisers treated the attendees nicely by providing tea, soft drinks and short eats. Many people who answered correct in the MCQ got a T-shirt and Rs. 319 worth Castrol semi-synthetic 15W50. And the few people who didn't answer correctly got nothing. There weren't many riders.

@Dipankar da: I was glad that our complex return route overlapped to a great extend. It was simple from the diverge point onward. Riding with you was fun.

Couldn't get round to logging into a system and doing the whole debrief, but you summed it up perfectly bro. I was an awesome., fast AND smooth ride (though I realise that I was the one that kept getting stuck behind trucks!!). Looking forward to more rides!

                              Hey guys,

Tomorrow Free Spirit, hopefully Lakshit, and I intend to ride to Panipat. Anyone else who wish to join in and enjoy riding are most welcome.

Plan: is to meet at Dhabha, at 0800. Leave Dhabha by 0830.

                              • Alright guys,

Ride to Panipat was exhilarating. Free spirit on his p220 had some work there, and me on my r15 for my weekly dose of riding nirvana. It wasnt that hot, in fact while riding it was very comfortable. The roads were smooth but lumpy. I observe that this route consistently provides high wind blast any day you ride that way. I felt this last time as well, during Karnal mega g2g.

Anyways hope to catch more people on these practice rides, for a longer ride later.
